I think some of you can find a lot more to argue about than the lion

Is this the five minute argument or the full half hour ?
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

I'm surprised at myself but I actually quite like the lion. Firstly it's good for the kids - my brother fecking loved it when he was younger.

More importantly though, I think it's the complete opposite of an embarrassment. It might be an embarrassment if we were the only ones doing it, but every club has one, and theirs are ALL shit. Instead of being a shit alliteration on our ground (Deepdale Duck) a Hammer with eyes or a fecking dinosaur, ours actually represents something - the greatest fella to ever pull on that shirt, and arguably his greatest performance.

Keep Lofty!

That Lofty Jnr can f*ck off though, he were shit.
In a world that has decided
That it's going to lose its mind
Be more kind, my friends, try to be more kind.

God knows. Give that lad a contract! At least a decent squad player and good influence, and I doubt he's in it for the money at this point.

How the feck has he ( And Chopra, David James, Keith Gillespie) managed to gamble all, every last cent, of that money away?

I wasn't aware of that Worthy. Always seemed to have a bit more between the ears than some of the ones Bob mentioned.
I see Friedel went bankrupt last year, but that was a business deal gone bad.

Because gambling is an addiction which has no boundaries. If you earn £200 a week you persuade yourself to keep to say £100 a week betting. If you earn £20,000 a week you might gamble £19,500 a week (indeed more as your credit is better) and even persuade yourself you're coping.

It's just a bigger number.

I suppose it is, especially with the bigger earners as perhaps they think they can earn it all back and the effects won't be as great.
I just don't get it, but I have no interest in gambling of any sort. I guess intelligence doesn't really come into it.

Wasn't there a story a few years back of Eidur betting a ridiculously big sum (like £10k) on a Bolton victory? (Obviously not when he was playing for us.)
Who's that coming up the hill boys,
The Wanderers are coming up the hill boys,
They all laugh at us, they all mock at us,
They all say our days are numbered,

Born to be a Wanderer, victorious are we....

Really? I know that he's mentioned on a couple of occasions, whilst playing for other teams that he still looked for our results. Supposedly made some of his Chelsea teammates sit through the playoff final in 2001
Pfffft.

I made a bad investment choice at Haydock last week too.

Eidur we sign him or we don't. I'd be tempted to give him a shot.
