I like it. Could be a motto for Prince Philip The Greek. Shame about the apostrophe.

Same.

It'll be tough, though.

So, anything better than 7-1 defeat is a sign we're heading in the right direction? I take it we're all happy with that? *halo*

We cheered that 1 like it was a match winner. Didn't half confuse the hoopy-shirted bar stewards.

I had the 'pleasure' of driving my Reading supporting friend to and from this game last year. Not happening this year.

You never know, now that NL is in command, you might be happy to offer your Reading mate a lift home after the match.

Anyone know whether you can usually pay on the gate at Reading? My mum's off to visit my brother who now lives in Reading at the weekend, so I thought I might take advantage but not entirely sure we'd get there in time for kick off.

Best match thread title this month. Positively Shakespearean.

ha-ha, I'm a Royals fan but don't even take exeption to the topic title. This season we're not up to it to be honest, looks like being our worst season finish in over a decade. Had good chat and banter with you last season, despite being on friendly terms with Blackburn and Blackpool forums

So how do you see the game going then? By the way, I'm a mod on the Reading "Royals Rendezvous" and we don't do wind-ups, promised ...

I last watched Reading in their win against Blackpool (in a cushy box seat), and I don't think there's much to them. Not much pace, not much quality in midfield and didn't see Blackpool trouble their backline enough to know much about them. It was that Blackpool were that bad that gave them a 3-0 win.

Their main method of attack was play it out left to Obita and pump crosses into the box... I'd say that Feeney would give him more to think about defensively and that would nullify that outlet.

Bolton playing as they are now can win this. Reading's midfield is very flat and Chungy will find a lot of joy in the gaps they leave between midfield and defence. As for our defence, Reading have good strikers in Murray and Cox, but Murray in particular doesn't come alive until he's in the box so he can be relatively easy to deal with otherwise.

2-0 Wanderers.

Thanks, daib0, and welcome back.

What's gone wrong at your place? At the start of last season, after you'd dropped out of the Prem with a reasonable quality squad (no big stars to pinch) and a decent manager in Adkins, I thought you lot would be more than alright...

hi there, well the truth is that we don't know! The squad is packed with internationals, including 3 in Wales team that drew in Belgium the other day. But they're not clicking together. And Nigel Adkins is fine when things are good, but doesn't seem to be able to inject enthusiasm, courage and fire when things don't go well. In our prediction threads I've never known a season when our fans make such negative guesses to match scores ...
Then we've got these new Thai owners but they are nowhere to be seen, and don't look like putting money into the club for now at least ...
can't see more than mid-table obscurity at this moment :o

Under Freedman we'd have snatched your arm off for that!

Except possibly for the time we were sixth with two minutes of the season left.
