£1million?? blimey - couple of weeks ago it was £1.5mil with add-ons!!
On Jan 23, Dave Sutton's barnet reported rather than wrote:Today's Times: "Crystal Palace are confident of signing" him "but hope that they can strike a better deal nearer the end of the window." His "£22,000-a-week wages will be an issue, though."
Today's Times has them much less bothered, mind you.

Is there a loan window after this one shuts? I can't remember. But if there is, that might be where we spend some of the Chungymoney.

Be sorry to lose Chungy, obviously, but one worry is that he may not recover well from his injury and we'd be left with a valueless crock. Always a case, I suppose.

Just what exactly happened with Stuart Holden? Is he lost and gone forever? People seem to have almost forgotten him.

Iles has the following as potentials as well as the young lad from Celtic:

Simeon Slavchev - Midfielder, from Sporting Lisbon.

Kyle Dempsey - Midfielder, from Carlisle United.

Nicky Law - Midfielder, from Rangers.

Barry Bannan - Midfielder, in deal with Crystal Palace to sign Chungy.

Nick Kuipers - Defender, from MVV Maastricht.

James Wilson - Striker, from Manchester United.

Any thoughts?? Apart from the one that goes "We've feck all chance of getting Wilson"?

They're playing "Who would you like to have back as a Wanderer?" on Marc Iles's site. So far nobody mentioned Ivan Campo. If only... :oyea:

We're not lacking in central midfielder but we need wide players.

Would anyone take Eagles back? Free transfer. Arguably our best player in our first Championship season. I think he could still bring something to us.
''Amazing! Out of nothing Bolton are level. A quick throw, Kevin Nolan keeps play alive in the box and finds Kevin Davies on the left who lashes a shot under Oliver Kahn.''

No thanks. A cross between a bench sitting Bridge and useless social media whore Sordell.

In their present condition (as opposed to time-machined heyday), but ignoring financial constraints, it's not an extensive list. Of players we once owned, unless I've overlooked some, I'd have Al-Habsi, Cahill, Eagles, Joey O'Brien (still only 28!) and Blerim Dzemaili.

If we're including former loanees, I wouldn't say no to Dawson, Juke, Sturridge and Wilshere...

Dzemaili. The one we didn't have enough patience for. Big shame!

I'd take SWP, but I heard about our interest a month ago when Redknapp said we showed interest but the player wanted to stay at QPR.
