Forsooth, is that a tractor I see before me ?

Sounds like a number of players will be rested for this one. The tractor appears to be struggling in mud though Ipswich are still playing well, just missing their chances .
Likely to be a physical, ugly game with an unfamiliar line up.
Danns suspended so quite possible that slavchev will get a chance alongside coke. Janko cravies and Heskey all carrying injuries and the impression it's a game we may toss. Not beyond the realm of possibility that we may see something as experimental as this ....

Lonergan

Threlkeld McCarthy dervite ream

Rochinha slavchev coke Twardzik

Alf walker

I'd have gone with 'Barry Knight's Bastards of Broomhill' personally...

Depends on the degree to which Lennon is prepared to toss the game and keep his first team players fresh for Wigan. There was an article a few days back where he was implying Slavchev and Rochinha will be involved soon and I can't see it being against Wigan or Blackpool. The only reason Alf is there is because Gudjohnsen struggles with consecutive games and Alf is hitting form. Could even see Twardzik at left back, Walker on the wing and Gudjohnsen up top.

A point would be magnificent but I cant see anything other than a defeat by 0-2 or 0-3 :(

If we make a game of it , it'll be a bonus . Tough on those players trying to prove themselves in a makeshift 11. Will certainly be a test of character .

Haha levity aside, I actually do think we can pick a win up tonight. Hopefully the lads will play with a bit of freedom of expression since there's pretty much no pressure on them.

the win at the weekend helped! it'd take a remarkably pessimistic person to lose much sleep over the threat of relegation now (and I DON'T know anyone like that!) - so you'd think they might be able to go out and play with some freedom and verve and panache...

of course it might still go badly if it turns out that Ipswich are simply better than us!

Neil Danns serves the first of a two game ban following his tenth card of the season. Who are we going to have in midfield - Coke and Trotter? Yes we'll shit em! 3-0 loss on the cards.

I will again be on a flight back to the UK from Schiphol Airport during the game. I land at 9:20 so the game will be finished by the time I have my bag and got back to the car. Might be a good thing.

Well I've backed us to get beat so I've done my bit. Team news should be interesting . It's also been interesting to note the odds shortening on an Ipswich win once it became known that we were resting a few . Not sure how much room for expression there's likely to be . It's your big standard mick McCarthy outfit . Physical, hard working and three players good enough for a higher level possibly . Doesn't strike me as an ideal game for rochinha to get a debut but who knows . Makes sense to have key players as fresh as possible to bang another nail in the pie eaters coffin .

I seem to recall that when they played us at our place, McCarthy had done as McCarthy does and built his side on having two leviathans at the back. Well, I fancy Glenville Adam James to give then the runaround this time out. 3-1 to us. :oyea:

I think it'll be shite game. But we'll get a spawny goal to win it 1-0.
And that 47 points will be enough for safety. Job done.
