Well, it's a huge step in the right direction year on year, but it now moves the overall debt to £172.9million. :gulp:

Pah, mere pocket change.

Don't we still miss FFP then, albeit by a lot less? Eddie is limited to what, £6m?

Dunno, mate. However, I imagine there'll be ways around it if he wanted to put even more in.

Lennon in this morning's pre-Blackpool presser: "I'm not expecting us to have a great deal of money so we are looking at the Bosman market and generating funds through sales."

Commence out-door speculation.

I'm fairly confident Celtic's wage bill is higher than ours at the moment.

Yes it is.

Celtic 2013 - £40.7m; Bolton 2013 - £37.4m (down from £55.3m the year before)

Celtic 2014 - £37.7m; Bolton 2014 - £28.4m (derived from the Club statement saying we had reduced the wage bill by £9m)

As an aside, when you look at Companies House website for Burnden Leisure Ltd, it shows the latest accounts filing as "Next Accounts Due 31/03/2015: OVERDUE"

@MarcIles: Strong, if unconfirmed, rumours of talks with Irish and Israeli investors at #bwfc this week. Interesting.

It could be talks with two different groups of investors!?

It is. He clarified this in a later tweet, whilst also saying he was sceptical of the whole thing for reasons he would later reveal. Exciting? Not really!

The accounts suggested there were some talks "at an advanced stage". It didn't read like takeover though, rather "additional funding streams"
