If Bogdan goes it begs the question why we didn't retain Lonergan after his heroics for us. It's a question mind, there might be reasons?

Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if Jussi came back for a swan song season

I think it'd be a popular signing! Age wise if we want to resign Heskey! Then having a 40 year old keeper ain't to much of a problem it's whether he can still cut the mustard!

And whether he wants anything like as little money as we can afford to give him.plymouth wanderer wrote:I think it'd be a popular signing! Age wise if we want to resign Heskey! Then having a 40 year old keeper ain't to much of a problem it's whether he can still cut the mustard!
Which may well depend on whether anyone, anywhere else wants him – and if so, how much he would value coming "home" over earning more elsewhere.

Just speculating! Any potential transfers are gonna depend on what you say! The fact that his boy plays here and he's somewhat a club club legend (heard he still lives in the area) wold give us the edge over most!
Possible player/coach role

Cant get worked up about pratley, he's basically a bog standard championship midfielder with a good engine. Replaceable. Players come and go but BWFC will remain!

Gee, a movie in the making here. So let me get this straight, Neil Lennon is building a new team of his own but rides out to a few ranches and rounds up a goalie who left for greater things, a striker who reckons his legs won't last regular ninety minute games but is now considering his options, another striker who was delighted to get another chance but now wants a rise and the cast of Young Guns 3. I reckon we only need Charles Bronson and Yul Brynner and we're ready to go.....Waggonns Rollllllll.newcarsmell wrote:Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if Jussi came back for a swan song season

Being linked with Vincent Bessat, a left sided midfielder from FC Nantes, according to Wiki. Don't know how reliable this website is but probably the type of player we are after.

Maybe Burnley will offer him half a million a year.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

May as wel get the whole team on loan. Bolton is just another stop on the gravy train railway .Nobody really left fit to call a Bolton Wanderer and any promising kids will be snapped up and sold off to the highest bidders.

BN:
...sources in Suffolk have told The Bolton News the Tractor Boys are not, at this [point] targetting Pratley.
McCarthy is keen to add to his midfield options but finances could prove a stumbling block.
A Wanderers spokesman has confirmed Pratley's situation remains the same and that discussions are still ongoing, though sources close to the player recently suggested those talks have stalled.

Burnden Aces do a decent job of collating rumours. Among the current ones are Palace chasing Mavies (Sunday Mirror), while we might be among the chosen recipients as Everton look to loan out young defenders Ty Browning (21, centre-back/right-back) and Brendan Galloway (19, left-footed centre-back, played for first team at left-back, can also playing holding midfielder).

If Bogdan wants a very slight payrise to benchwarm, good riddance. I thought he was being offered far more than we could table. Hope we've got a line open to Amos or Lonergan.
Would love Hooper, like many others on here, would be a great "replacement" for ALF and a good partner for Clough/Clayton.
Of course it's entirely possible that Bogdan believes he's better than Mignolet and would soon win the jersey! Regard the numbers, whatever the truth, I wouldn't expect him or anyone else to do other than what they believe is best for them, so I'd say good luck.
Re: If carlsberg did transfer threads.....This would be it!
That Galloway looked v good going forward for Everton.
He also gave the ball away cheaply in a v dangerous area with a weak aimless pass square from LB to nobody.
So he's my bet for player of the season.

For all the talk of us signing a poor of old gits in Eidur and Heskey, 38 year old Luca Toni, who was told his days were numbered when Bayern let him go 6 years ago, has just scooped the Serie A golden boot.
Heskey, next year is your year!
And I'd take Hooper.
