Yep, though I think those are pics from yesterday as one of them was floating around on Twitter earlier and also the weather looks like yesterday's...plymouth wanderer wrote:

Presume we have to wait for international clearance.

Needs international clearance still. Unlikely to play tomorrow then I'd have thought.
Though probably not a good game to throw a relatively young centre half into when he's just joined. Hopefully get clearance in time for Burton game which would be ideal time to blood him I'd have thought.
Hopefully a physical sort we are missing.

Well it's done, but that is bollocksBWFC_Insane wrote:Sounds like bollocks to be honest. You just never know, but as it is a loan deal the agreement is between Bolton and his club as to who covers what part of his wages.boltonboris wrote:I read on twitter (a lad that generally seems to have an ear to the ground) that the club have offered terms that haven't been accepted by the player and Lennon is talking about him signing, to ensure the club conclude it and save faceBWFC_Insane wrote:As ever, Lennon claims a player has signed but the club hasn't confirmed it. The player will be paid the same regardless.
Suspect it will be international clearance that holds it up, but it took a week to sign three players who had been training all summer.

Players who go on loan aren't paid less. Their wages still have to be paid by someone.boltonboris wrote:

Aye,. but they sometimes get more than the contract at the parent club, to make it more attractive!BWFC_Insane wrote:Players who go on loan aren't paid less. Their wages still have to be paid by someone.boltonboris wrote:

Possibly yes. I'd think in this case that would be unlikely.boltonboris wrote:Aye,. but they sometimes get more than the contract at the parent club, to make it more attractive!BWFC_Insane wrote:Players who go on loan aren't paid less. Their wages still have to be paid by someone.boltonboris wrote:

Anyhow, does anyone know anything about this guy? Only 21 and apparently it is a loan with a view to buy....

French U18&19 international signed by Juventus and Atalanta will do for me. Together with Derik, exactly the type of players we should be signing, as they have the potential to actually make money - that stuff we are short of.

Yep. He'll have watched him at least half a dozen times in Italian reserve leagues.Burnden Paddock wrote:Dan! Dan! Dan!Enoch wrote:If anyone on here knows anything about this bloke I'll be amazed.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

I'm disappointed he's got his name rather than a squiggle on his shirt. Sign o the times, I suppose. Presumably, Lennon has banned him from wearing a raspberry beret during training.KeyserSoze wrote:Happy now?

That's something that's interested me... since Lennon has been here the club has really upped it's online presence, which I think has had quite a positive effect on the fans and the perception of the manager. Now was it coincidence that this happened close to when Lennon came in or was it down to the fans not liking Dougie and the club waiting until something changed to bring this online plan into action? Did the club think he was as effective at PR as Lennon has shown to be?Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:The replacement for Eidur is Clough, or possibly Mark Davies. Dobbie is welcome as a squad-bolsterer – as you say, an option from the bench (wise, old, canny) – but wouldn't be in many fans' first XIs.
Lennon is unwise to make the comparison (and it is undoubtedly a comparison: "We lost Eidur so we were looking for that type of player and Stephen can fill that void"). It doesn't help the player and frankly it doesn't help the manager.
He's a long way ahead of Freedman's PR and I hope to God he always will be, but there's been some worrying quotes recently (this, the one about not practising set-pieces) of the kind that would rightly have got Freedman pilloried.
Maybe Lennon's always been like this but has had more forgiveness from fans of a winning team. I hope we get back to being a winning team, and I hope Dobbie helps that.

I think Freedman had lost any ability to communicate with the fans ... and he knew it. All part of what I still believe was a mini breakdown he was having toward the end.
He'd made a tw@t of his communications, the more he tried the worse it got and then he almost stopped trying.

I agree, and judging from how the club has actively marketed itself online since, they knew it too.bobo the clown wrote:I think Freedman had lost any ability to communicate with the fans ... and he knew it. All part of what I still believe was a mini breakdown he was having toward the end.
