I've always thought that. It probably started off as an incentive, 2 clubs going for the same player, one offers to pay the agent fee as a sweetener.
I don't know, I'm going to stop thinking or posting about it as it gets right on my fecking tits.
I could act as your agent and post stuff about it on your behalf - and then bill Prufrock?

Yep. Though you're paying them either way, directly or indirectly, and I'd imagine it's a lot cheaper directly as you skip out a layer of tax.

We have got the lad from Charlton apparently. Leaving it late to announce if true.

Lennon in the BN:
You keep persevering with it and just hope that something comes up. You’ve got to have plan A to Z and probably more than that. It’s part of the process and there’s no guarantees you can get any player in.

We’ve made strides on a couple of targets so we’re hoping something will happen.

I think some Premier League players feel they have a chance of getting into the first team and see the Championship as a step backwards at that point in their career. But what we’re offering is a chance to come and play first-team football, get back in the public eye playing again.

I think the location here is good. You’ve got Manchester and Liverpool 20-30 minutes away and you get a train back to London pretty comfortably too. I don’t think it’s a big issue.

We’re looking at all aspects of the game. We’ve looked everywhere – non league, abroad, Scotland, and we’re not just looking for the here and now, because players’ contracts are coming up and you’re looking at some fresh blood for next year. So we’re working hard all the time and making plans for the future.

I genuinely believe Lennon is really working hard at getting somebody in. With no money to spare and little to offer players, he's got a real task on. Like us all, he has to be due a bit of good luck soon.

He has wages of 10K a week to offer by all accounts. Whilst not mega bucks there will be strikers who do ok in this league on less than that.

Got a source on that? Not being arsey, genuinely curious - last I heard we couldn't even reinvest funds freed up by the Ream sale...
Iles and Nixon both said we have £10k per week wages for a loan striker. Lennon has said money is there for a wage. Though hasn't specified what amount.

BN reporting that we failed to complete the deal yesterday and might look elsewhere now.

Nixon says that we have the option of either Vetokele or Yann Kermorgant from Bournemouth, with Vetokele being Lennon's preferred choice.

Vetokele ..... not that I'd heard of him till this week .... is carrying an achilles isn't he. That'd be a bit risky I'd have thought.

Kermorgant has always seemed a proper player ... and was vg last season. He'd be mine from the two.

Now .... what's Lenin's mobile number ?

Jesus Christ yes Kermogant! Nearly suggested him as an "if only" the other day.

Was this story reported before or after Wilson got injured though?

We might have to hope that Callum Wilson is not out long term for it to happen unfortunately. As if our luck with injuries to our own players hasn't hurt us enough, injuries to other team's players are now potentially stopping us from bringing someone in.

I know he's not abad player! But I'd prefer someone a bit younger and quicker than Kermorgant!!

Two big strikers might be the way forward. We looked more threatening piling crosses into the box then we did with slower build up play. Kermogant is good in the air. Though I suspect it isn't happening with Wilson's injury.
