Wanderers won't be taking up the option to sign Star Wars actor Mark Hammill:

Pfffft.

have we given up on this sign-a-striker quest?
does madine's new-found goal-machine status mean we don't need one?
whatever - it's gone VERY quiet!!!

I'm still supportive of wherever this thread wants to take us. Plymouth promised it's at least "play-offs" season. Oh and Trotter would be elsewhere. I'm quietly confident about both. Just a slow burner, obviously.

Scored five in the last two, but conceded six... I'm guessing this has rather concentrated minds on the back end of the team, where we've already made half-a-dozen signings since summer. I'm hoping there's some bloody hard work on the training ground, with Steve Walford adding his experience (and perhaps studying a few past performances he wasn't at, to help pinpoint trends).thebish wrote:have we given up on this sign-a-striker quest?

International break, too, so our search urgency has abated, and some of the potential targets might be away anyways.

On international duty? Or playing an away game for their conference clubs?Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:

Heh. Our recent (forward) targets seem to have been Prem or Champo outcasts.LeverEnd wrote:On international duty? Or playing an away game for their conference clubs?Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Or having it large in Ibiza? Actually, strike that thought. No self respecting professional would treat the international break as an opportunity for a piss up in the Balearics.LeverEnd wrote:On international duty? Or playing an away game for their conference clubs?Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:

Let's face it: six months in, this thread is on its arse. Send it to Dignitas and we can all move on.
