We got around 500k if I remember rightly.jonnycooper wrote:What money? Think we accepted a bag of brass tacks,as he was likely to leave for zilch at seasons end!ChrisC wrote:LeverEnd wrote:Fingers crossed Chris!!
Suppose it will come down to the numbers as always. No doubt ALF is happy to come here.
Did we spend the money from selling Chungy?

According to his agents' Twitter feed, Heskey has signed "a new contract". One presumes they were more precise in the negotiations than the news-breaking.

Did it not include a bonus if they stayed up?ChrisC wrote:We got around 500k if I remember rightly.jonnycooper wrote:What money? Think we accepted a bag of brass tacks,as he was likely to leave for zilch at seasons end!ChrisC wrote:LeverEnd wrote:Fingers crossed Chris!!

IIRC, Im sure it was 500k upfront and then more if Palace stayed up (I'd heard it's about £1.2m in total).malcd1 wrote:Did it not include a bonus if they stayed up?ChrisC wrote:We got around 500k if I remember rightly.jonnycooper wrote:What money? I thought that overall it was +£1m.wigan white wrote: IIRC, Im sure it was 500k upfront and then more if Palace stayed up (I'd heard it's about £1.2m in total).
Quite a good deal really for a player who hasn't played a first team game since. He was an unused sub against Chelsea on Sunday just gone.

Hope it doesn't turn out a "Wish I'd never left Bolton" for him. He deserves a chance at least to prove his worth.jaffka wrote:I thought that overall it was +£1m.wigan white wrote: IIRC, Im sure it was 500k upfront and then more if Palace stayed up (I'd heard it's about £1.2m in total).

Maybe he'll come back on loan, like Zaha did from the swamp. I hope Chungy's happy but I'm far more bothered about our current and future players.TANGODANCER wrote:Hope it doesn't turn out a "Wish I'd never left Bolton" for him. Bogdan to stoke?
Ali released by Wigan.
Amos on a free as well.

All interesting stuff. I have to be honest and say if Bogdan does go, part of me - the financial-worrier side - will be relieved. He's a good goalkeeper, probably our best option, but if he's asking a lot then I don't think Amos, Lonners or Ali are that much worse, especially if it frees up funds for another player too.jaffka wrote:Bogdan to stoke?

Hope it's all part of boggers evil plan to get revenge on Stoke and bring them back where they belong?

Why would he ... or Stoke .... not be interested in each other tbf.
Amos is a good option as would be Ali for that matter, if he's not become tainted by life at the lap of Daventry the Racist.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

They shouldn't be interested because they already have two good keepers.
He shouldn't be interested because Mark Hughes is an arsehole.

No feckin wonder! He's on £42k p/w at ceediff,we can't afford anything near that.. I stumbled across a website last night (celebritiesmoney.com) and some of the wages paid at this club make painful reading,,=Boggers=£33k p/w,Matt Mills=£42k p/w,Slapchav=£33k p/w..However twatdick softens the blow somewhat,on his £600 p/w,,poor love.Riviman wrote:http://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/foot ... le-9213383

Re: If carlsberg did transfer threads.....This would be it!
Just shows how cracked it's all gone. Can't blame the players, or even their greedy agents, if the system allows it, they'll exploit it to the full....and it does. We owe it all to the Sky lot etc, and the Man, Utd's Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, Man City etc, etc where money is just for acooping up by the shovel-full. £180,000 a week for a nineteen year old kid says it all.jonnycooper wrote:No feckin wonder! End of 2014 Accounts had us at £27mPrufrock wrote:Or that those numbers are absolute bollocks!
We're a year on from there and it wouldn't surprise me if we were now nearer £20m.
Those numbers would be nearly half our total, from 5 players out of around 60...

I am not privy to Boltons accounts, but it would not surprise me in the slightest if those figures quoted are absolute spot on,given the way we've tended to throw cash away over the past 10 years or so!
