"Silva" is, of course, Portuguese for "forest". It's an omen.plymouth wanderer wrote:Happy with these 2 signings! looking forward to Silva ripping Forest apart this weekend!

Every formation does not have it's use. Even Bob Martinez hasn't tried to resurrect 1-1-9. 3-5-2 wants binning off. It was shite in the 90s and it still is now. Plenty room for flexibility going forwards, don't piss about with the back 4.

Lennon will be judged on results on the field. He has to improve them as currently our run of form is shocking.
Nobody expects the top 6 but he still has to do better than he is doing. I don't think Neil Lennon himself would argue with that.

Rais M'Bolhi, Algeria and former Philadelphia Union goalkeeper apparently on trial.
Only heard bad things from Union fans so far.

Im probably against you. I lost so much money betting against Algeria on the worldcup, and it was because of this guy. If he performs as he did for his country even as a backup keeper, ill be happy.Vertigo wrote:Rais M'Bolhi, Algeria and former Philadelphia Union goalkeeper apparently on trial.

A few camera saves and rolls in there.
And from the video he palms the ball in front of him waaaaay to often. Burst out laughing at the schweingstieger shot he palmed up about about 20 yard into the air.
Still a few good/great saves in there though. But shot-stopping is but one part of a keeper's job.

"Fair warning he's a major head case. Maybe a change of scenery would be good for him, but every single Union fan would be glad to see him go"

"This guy was so cancerous in our locker room that he’s been excused from the team for the last couple of months."
Plus, it seems as though Antalyaspor from Turkey are also interested. Doubt we could match them for wages. Not exactly disappointed.

Last minute of the FA cup final, we are losing 1-0 and have a corner and you would still keep 4 at the back?Prufrock wrote:Every formation does not have it's use. I doubt he'd keep 3 at the back and 5 across the half way line, either

As I posted earlier, he's currently on £4kpw - and hasn't stayed at any of his eight or nine clubs for longer than a season, which rings a warning bell.

Re: If carlsberg did transfer threads.....This would be it!
We better not end up paying a reserve keeper £4K per week to sit on the bench. If Nixon and Iles are believed 4/5K is our average wage we are giving new players now. Really hope we don't pay a ressie keeper anything like that. What is wrong with Fitzsimmons?
We keep getting told we can't afford a striker which is fair enough. But not entirely true, because we probably could afford one if we didn't sign, Dobbie, Heskey and Pisano for example. I know we've had issues with full backs but we'll end up with loads of specialist full backs playing in other positions if we're not careful.

Pisano was Captain of Cagliari last term for some matches (not done a heck of a lot of digging on the guy). He lined up with the armband against a Napoli side that had Higuian, Callerjon, DeGuzman and Hamsik running at him in November last year. So the pedigree is there. Fingers crossed he's the real deal and he can hit the ground running!

Said for a while I'm perfectly happy to have Fitzsimons as back-up - he's not 16, he's 21. If an injury strikes, loan a keeper. As noted, we could do without spending the money on a pine-rider - especially one who sounds like he might be trouble.

Surprised that nobody has considered Amos having a loss of form. It's his first full season as a number 1. Having an experienced back up in my view for such a key position is wise.
