Steve Gibson has owned the club since we almost went into liquidation in 86.

This season is the first time we've had much money to spend after Strachan brought in the Celtic and Rangers combined second XI on 30k a week each in 2010. We've been cleaning up his mess since.

Similar road we have to travel down!

My deepest sympathies! Is that a former manager's mistakes or Lennon's?

On a positive note, with a good manager at the helm your club has the infrastructure to get back up to the right end of the table.

Old-school.

I'm working again (second successive Saturday) so will have the dubious pleasure of watching the newswires etc keeping up with the events (and trying to remain professional). COYWM.

Three at the back, then.

--------------------Amos
----------Dervite, Prince, Holding
Feeney-----------------------------Moxey
-------------------Spearing
------------Danns----------Vela
--------------------Sparky

--------------------Heskey

Fitzsimons, Clough, Madine, Dobbie, Wilson, Twardzik and Walker on the bench...

I'd read that as four at the back, Moxey playing full back? It's set up to look for a draw. I'd take a point now.

Could be that, but alternatively, Lennon said in midweek that Holding can play right-back. That would allow for

Holding Prince Dervite Moxey
------Spearing--Vela------
Feeney----Davies----Danns
---------Heskey----------

...or possibly a midfield diamond Spearing behind Vela/Danns behind Sparky) with Feeney adding pace up top... but Lennon did hint during the week that it might be a more cautious formation.

So who is your right back? Dervite, Holding or Prince?

The fact that we have our most established right back on the bench suggests to me it's more likely a back three with Feeney and Moxey as the wing backs.

Fingers crossed that you're right, though, as I hate it when we play three at the back. Has it ever worked for us under Lennon?

Good to see Holding getting a chance! Lennon certainly doesn't shy away from giving the youth a go

Probably so mate, but mebbes Wilson's tired? I dunno.

3-5-2 worked against Liverpool, matching their formation (sort of). Very rarely otherwise.

Meanwhile, Boro's XI:
Dimi, Nsue, Kalas, Ayala, Friend, Adomah, Leadbitter, Clayton, Downing, Fabbrini, Kike
subs Mejias, Stephens, Husband, Fry, Stuani, Forshaw, Nugent.

Their fans aren't happy:
"very disappointing"
"love the going for a draw at home"
"never going to fill a stadium with a defensive formation at home"
"wtf no Stuani. What a shite team"
"nsue in rightback ffs"
"shit kalas cb. No winger on the bench. Kike starting"
"WTF!!!!!!!!!! Why, please tell me why AK, Stuani score 2 and you drop him, Forshaw is better than Clayton but you wont play him???"

I'm really not keen on these changes up top.

Dougie used to change his team all the time and look where that got us.

I'll say it again and again, but when Burnley got promoted 2 years ago they stuck to the same team unless a change was enforced.

I'm not saying this team won't get us a result, but I'd like to see a consistent line-up.
