Yep only I didn't save a penalty when goalie.

Lucky for me I went to a different school as I hit the post or cross bar with most of my shots :|

I'm with the folk giving Madine a kicking. Penalties are a striker's bread and butter.

Just back. How good does it feel to score FINALLY!

We played well again. Plenty of chances. Really good game overall.

Feel sorry for Madine. It took a brave man to stand up and take that penalty. Would have had Clough on it myself.

Same old Freedman.. Screaming at his players to sit back and we managed to punish them.

Mention needs to be made for Wilson .. Nobody will ever keep Antonio out of a game but Wilson give it a really good try.

That last minute challenge from Prince on Antonio was world class as well.

Happy Wanderer tonight.

This.

Though I'd have preferred him never to have had a smile on it in the first place.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

We will see over time, but I'm far from convinced we were/are as good as is being made out. Forest were awful. And in the end we got a draw and Forest could have won. Apart from our penalty Antonio probably has the best chance of the game when he puts it straight at Amos.

We created chances yes, but I don't feel the tempo is right. We are too pedestrian for large periods of the game and struggle to create real pressure at times.

End of the day I think finishing is going to be a big problem because I'd say Clough is our best finisher but isn't playing well at all so far.

Silva looks good, but I'd wait and see if he produces a bit more end product from his runs.

That goal either kicks us on or is a false dawn. I hope it's the former but still think we have a good way to go. I think we've got enough in the squad bar, perhaps a goalscorer, but I don't think we've found the right formula yet.

And the centre of our midfield was very weak and we really did get away with it. Back four all absolutely excellent. Especially Dervite and Wilson. Superb.

Fairy nuff like. But the confidence in the side up front must've been rock bottom.
We've popped our cherry now so hopefully it'll be reet. I'd have genuinely been happy with a loss today so long as we scored a goal so a 1-1 draw is superb.

Forest are dreadful. Which teams are we going to actually beat?

I dunno. All of them?
We scored. We created 21 chances. It's all good.
Smile mate we're off the bottom of the table.

Great to score and get a point.

I'm still not convinced we are set to turn our dismal form around. Forest were about as bad a side as you will see. We didn't in my view look very good even then.

We didn't create 21 chances. Their keeper made one save, the penalty.

Erm it was shit, but hopefully the late goal is a platform with which to build on. Good to see Dougie hasn't changed, taking a striker off for a full-back with five to go and conceding anyway. Shithouse.

I really don't think we're a bad team. Results haven't been great but there's such a difference between this side and the one at the start of last season which was genuinely awful. We play some good football going forward, we're better defensively and whilst we've got some good players, that's our biggest concern, a lack of talent. We play like a team which will kick on and start playing well after we've had a momentum gaining win but it's hard to see that coming soon. I think it will come though. We're not a terrible side, nor has our play this season so far warranted only one goal. Our points and goal tally don't tell the full story, I don't think, but hopefully that changes soon.

Pretty much how I see it. We weren't very good. Forest were worse. We don't look like winning games, hopefully that will change but I'm not seeing it right now.

Is it inconceivable to think that we may have nullified them?? :conf:

Thanks Tango
Clayton has to be back fit soon surely, didn't Lennon say it'd be a few weeks after the start of the season? As far as I'm aware he's not even being playing with the development squad yet so can't imagine him being in the first team any time soon.

Clearly it is.

They had both Lansbury and Antonio playing. Tidy footballers who'd walk into our lot.

Do, I wanted a win. We're settling half a new team in and we're still struggling to score but I'm not getting the sharp objects out.
