Freedman hasn't really had chance to ruin Forest yet due to FFP. I think they're going to be too strong for us today.

Sudden hunch it'll be a frustratingly unlucky 1-1 draw - but a start, nonetheless.

Realised we've barely even discussed possible personnel etc, and the team is out in 20 minutes...

I hope against hope that it's a back four - Moxey, Dervite, Prince, Wilson would be fine by me. I still think Madine is our best line-leader as long as he's got runners going past him - I would play Clough off Madine flanked by Wellybob and Feeney (sorry PT!). Central midfield knitted together by Vela plus one - maybe Spearing, maybe Danns; perhaps not yet Davies, although he would be a forward-thinking option to bring on if need be.

^^ that, except Mavies on from the start and only 1 dm.

How would Dug cope against a midfield formation he simply can't understand ?
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Know what you mean Bobes, and I'm as big a fan as they come of Davies.

I wouldn't class the 2 in a 4231 as 'defensive' per se, it depends on circumstance and temperament, but the rest of that team is fairly attack-minded: Clough is more of a forward than a midfielder and there's two wingers either side of him, although Feeney will work back. Until we find out exactly how defensively diligent Wellington is (or isn't) I'd be wary of over-committing.

So that could be a 4231 with Davies and Danns behind Walker (left), Clough (central) and Silva (right), Madine up top

Or a similar but flatter 4-4-2 with Clough pushed up, Welly and Walker wide

Can't really imagine how we'd get Lenny's other oft-used formation, the diamond, out of those 11; maybe Danns behind Davies/Walker behind Clough with Silva as Madine's paceman

Tiny chance I suppose of a back three (Prince, Dervite, Moxey) with Wilson/Walker wingbacks

Looks a weak centre of midfield to me. We shall see!

aye - but we're at home - we shouldn't be packing it out with the likes of spearing and medo! Dannsy will do a good job in there - allowing the cutting, thrusting front 4 to wreak pacey havocking mayhem

plus - we're playing a Dougie Team FFS - how hard can it be?

goaaaalllzzz galore!!! COYW

Whatever team we pick would look weak in the centre really, it's probably our achilles' heel. With that in mind, perhaps Lennon has flooded the team with attacking players to try and compensate?

A back four, a bit of flair and players played in their best positions. I think I like it.

Those two would struggle to pack out a matchbox.

We have at our disposal, if not on that pitch, Spearing, Medo, Vela & Danns who are very able to play DM. I AM dekuberately ignoring the Wardrobe.

That's not an Achilles Heel. At least it shouldn't be.

Talk of a decent crowd today? Commentators reminiscing as we kick off towards the visiting horde. Walker goes forth and Antonio gets assaulted by a Whites twosome. Wilson drops him this time. He has another dab and his cross is well cleared by Prince. Throw them and....

Hope the mic men remember we are listening and want to hear about Bolton not Bury. Anonio wanders offside, obviously to be heavily relied on to give us grief? Throw them again and another. Mills gets a greeting from the home fans as the mic men have a chat about the world in general before that Antonio fella fires one wide.

We have a sally and Clough goes down unheeded by the ref. Lansbury feeds Antonio but it comes to nought. Free them as Madine does an ariel before we return the free kick well down field. And.....now a throw and...it's cut out. All sounds to and fro so far as Madine has to give away a throw. Ref getting a bit of oral stick from mic man for ignoring a knee in the back from Mills on Madine. Silva goesa and...Walker and....we get our first corner. Good words on the Silva run. We go and.......oooohhhh, over the bar from...a Moxey by Dervine.

Wilson bangs one in and it's cleared but we reclaim it. Bit of controversy as the ref overules the liner? Antonio again but runs it out. Mic men have a chat about this and that and we now sally forth again via Silva.....And Mills toes it away. Antonio crosses again and they have a throw. Cleared but back they come and.....a Ronaldo impersonation before Lansbury fire a drop goal over tha bar. We have it and....Walker.....and he....loses out. We go again, they come and Amos gets a feel of the ball. Nothing spectacular sounding so far.
