They got their first win last night. Just in time to play us
1-2
Can see us scoring a few if Dobbie gets a chance from the off. We seem to have more about us when he is on the field.

Lenny to ring the changes with Dobbie, Heskey, Vela and Spearing all coming in for Madine, Clough, Danns and Feeney.
1 - 0 to us with a Spearing thunder-rocketbolt in the style of Hotshot Hamish!

Certainly hope he doesn't play both Feeney and Welly, has to be Feeney dropped I guess, although I'm not as excited by Welly as others.Bruce Rioja wrote:Lenny to ring the changes with Dobbie, Heskey, Vela and Spearing all coming in for Madine, Clough, Danns and Feeney.

Danns would be a definite start for me in every away game. Deserves a lot of credit for the way he threw himself into it last night, I'd put Vela in and move Davies further forward, see if he can get Welly away.

Yep - and, dare I say it, Heskey. But maybe that's cos they've got (relatively) fresh legs against tiring defenders. Entirely possible that, played from the off, they'd be utterly useless...ChrisC wrote:Can see us scoring a few if Dobbie gets a chance from the off. Not a bad idea, that - although it might be seen as hoisting the white flag. ("Flying high, up in the sky...")LeverEnd wrote:Danns would be a definite start for me in every away game. In absentio Clough, playing Davies in front of Danns and Vela might make sense for an away game – but there'd be those who saw it as unnecessarily defensive, a surrender.

You do know that there's a breed of dog called a Shakespeare Yorkshire Terrier don't you, Spotto?
This is the the most Godawful open-goal miss of thread titles EVER.
Comparible in football terms to this!

You are correct, as just turned 40 yr old, I do remember it, though I'd forgotten about that song til you mentioned it.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:In absentio Clough, playing Davies in front of Danns and Vela might make sense for an away game – but there'd be those who saw it as unnecessarily defensive, a surrender.

I think it would be better than starting Dobbie there, see him as more of a sub, but probably deserves a chance. Either way we will struggle to score.
Just trying to decide whether to go...
Anyone going?

Tickets only, £27.50. Bit steep. If I'm going I'll let you know and can pick you up a ticket.Lost Leopard Spot wrote:Thinking about it. What's their policy of pay on the gate?LeverEnd wrote:

Met up with some Huddersfield mates last year, found a great pub nearby, no idea what it was called.

Yep, I'll be going if my 'Uddersfield pal who lives in Matlock Bath is driving up, otherwise not. If it's tickets only I'll rely on him to get one - I should be seeing him tonight.LeverEnd wrote:Tickets only, £27.50. Bit steep. For real ale (from thefootballgroundguide): The King's Head (very near to the Head of Steam), The Sportsman on St John's Road, the Vulcan in St Peter's Street and Slubbers Arms on Halifax Old Road.

Got mine. We have only been given 1950 tickets, half the usual allocation. Heard we only sold 800
