I can't see us winning today - everything surrounding the club is shambolic, the team is changed every week, Lennon doesn't have a specific style of play or system that he prefers, he doesn't have a specific type of player he likes, he's as bad tactically as any manager we've had for a long time and he's recently found Freedman's bingo machine in the cupboard that he's started to use for picking the side.

I had really high hopes for NL and was a big Lennon fan, but TBH I just can't see us getting another win - never mind today. I hope Ameobi does well if he plays and the fans at least give him a chance (but I doubt he'll play), but its yet another un thought out / panic signing which doesn't address the areas in which we are lacking - leadership, creativity & goal scoring....therefore another waste of our limited finances.

Again I hope I'm wrong & we get a win, because if we lose today - Lennon will be under intense pressure from the fans, even at this stage its a must win otherwise we could do a Blackpool.

Also - can anyone confirm that Gartside is still at the club or even alive, as I can't recall seeing or hearing anything from him regarding the situation the club is in for around 2 years....I know he was in the paper a few months ago when the club won their case against that agent, but I haven't heard a single word he's said regarding the club / team etc.

What can we expect today? Who knows I have seen us play well and lose play badly and lose and play average and win, also play absolutely awful and draw.

Leeds have been as inconsistent as us this season but have the fillup of a new manager, they got a good away draw during the week so will not be an easy game.

Hopefully Clayton and Vela are played in more central attacking positions, although I think Vela would be better in the defensive midfield with Davis pushed further up the pitch. No sure about Ameobi but think he will start on the bench.

My team for today;

--------------Amos-----------------
Wilson--Prince--Wheater--Casado
--------------Vela------------------
---------Davis-----Pratley--------
-------------Clayton----------------
----------Madine----Dobbie----------

What, no Ameobi? We've only got him for five minutes and he's already been in training. Get him in there or what's the point?

Is Spearing still out? He has his limitations, but I'd prefer him in the defensive mid role. And, yes, starting with Dobbin can only be an improvement on starting with Heskey.

I've got massive headache, a really sore throat, it's been peeing it down all morning, my mobile signal is on and off, my landline ain't working for gawd knows what reason, and the dog's just chucked up a half digested pig's ear on the carpet... And there's still three full hours to go before the agony commences.

Bolton have won just one of their last 17 league games (D7 L9), including none of their last six (D2 L4)

Despite my good intentions of never, never, never listening to another Wanderers game.....well, I just can't do it. It's been an addiction for too many years and well, (breaks down sobbing) I'm beyond help. So....COME ON YOU WHITES...

Ever the optimist, I'll be there again today and expecting a win and a spring in my step at 4.50 as I walk back to the car.

 It's the truth. Now then, and nowt to do with much....and Ameobi brought this on and made me look it up..It's still painfully clear in memory: Sat, 11th August, Sam Allardyce's first game as Newcastle boss. Ameobi came on as sub late on but we had lost by then. N'Zogbia ( I always thought it was Geremi?) hit a hopeful free kick from right in front of me in Lofthouse Lower and it skipped into the net past Jussi (and everybody else). It was a total fluke but Martins added two more goals, one good and one a deflection to beat us 3-1. It was also Sammy Lee's first game in charge....Okay, on with it.

I remember it well. I was listening on the wireless, assembling a new swing bench in the back garden. Said swing bench rotted, ceased being of use, was dismantled and is now rotting away in the corner awaiting transport to the dump.

Take that as a metaphor if you will... :?

I shall also take it as a warning... hence I will not construct any garden furniture today. :D

I thought it was The Smiths as the metaphor? Take That lyrics would be way too upbeat.

Going for a 4-1 win. Madine x 2, Feeney and a debut goal from Ameobi.

I'll then be told at the end of the game by people on here, a 2-2 draw is a good result against a team in transition!
