The Charlton thread. - Charlton (A) 15/12/15
That'll do.
.
Not wishing to fire up a match thread too early, Though I might have gone with:
“Forward, the Light Brigade!”.
Or somesuch 'valley of death' nonsense.
Anyhow's, I'm going to the Charlton game and wondered if any of the likely suspects, or indeed some of the less likely suspects, will be joining me. I may well be in the company of that Millwall thug as they don't appear to have a game.

Re: Not the Charlton thread.
I'll be there, probably with my Millwall thug too.
There was a time when I'd remind everyone that I've only seen one win in the past five years (Watford away Nov 2013; prior to that, it was West Ham away Aug 2010), but that's a decent return compared to anyone who's seen our last 30 games or so.

Ah well, I'll have to content myself with watching our spanking at Hull instead!

Very broad brush.
Albeit erring on the side of caution.
Re: Not the Charlton thread.
I can't think of anything better than a freezing cold trip on a packed, delayed train out of London Bridge, some rushed down pints of John Smiths before watching us get dicked with a ropey hot-dog served out of the tubes they keep plutonium in in James Bond films and then getting home gone midnight. Hoo-f*ckng-ray.

I can assure you that 100% of the Millwall supporters that I've ever come into contact with are violent, loutish, thuggish nice people. I'm yet to meet a single one of them that's anything else (though I am prepared to believe that Danny Baker might not be, although he may have been in the past and simply chose not to have mentioned it in his book )

Re: Not the Charlton thread.
I imagine one of the stranger moments in SJM's time at the Original Bay Horse was the day an adoring fan wandered in and talked him through every single goal he scored, for Millwall.
The thug sends his regards, LeverEnd, as indeed do I.
He's really quite nice, Mr Rioja.

My Millwall thug is a mild mannered accountant with a penchant for '80s pop music.
