Spotty's Seriously Sub-standard Second Rate Transfer Thread.

Post by Lost Leopard Spot » Sun Dec 13, 2015 12:58 pm

Never done one of these. Might as well get one in.
I'll even concede the offloading of Trotter to be Plymouth's doing, this thread's going to be that shit.
On the positive side, people won't have to struggle with names they can't pronounce coz they'll be few and far between (mind's eye vision of Trevor Birch sat at table with Neil Lennon trying to demonstrate the concept a la Father Ted: "few" [hands close together], "far between" [hands wide apart].)

From what I've just heard, we'll be busy offloading players in Jan to divvy up the bills. Who we've got that's of any worth I've no idea.

Spearing's worth two bob.
Davies might even be worth half a crown.

We have very few players that anyone would want to pay a transfer fee for anyway. Given everyone now knows how desperate things are, the assets we do have will go for a song. Amos, Mavies and Clough will all go for under 300k

Y'see I was aiming for a touch of understatement... I wasn't expecting people to back me up. Get a grip, they'll go for a minimum of £327,128. Each.

Sorry, mate. It wasn't meant to be. It's just something that was said on that third rate Channel 5 show that has Kenny Dalglish's daughter on it, some carthorse from Brighton, and the current holder of the I've Missed a Bigger Sitter Than Dean Holdsworth Trophy - This c*nt here.

I predict there will be no incoming transfer fees! We have always been a very generous Club.So Mark Davies will go to Swansea ( free of course),and Spearmint to Blackburn! Same fee as Davies!

Well, after the resounding success of Plymouth's we really couldn't hope to reach even dizzier transfer heights could we, so somebody had to be the sacrificial (hairy) lamb. And waddya mean "in recent memory"... it'll be the worst transfer thread ever. It'll never get any worse than this I tell you.

you could well be right
Neil Lennon in an earlier press conference today said not wrote: On the subject of what might transpire if players were not paid wages for two successive months, Lennon explained: “They can give the club two weeks’ notice. That is their right. Obviously at this time of year it’s a huge concern if they’re not getting paid. We need something done very, very quickly.”

Lennon was in charge of Celtic when turmoil hit Rangers and obliterated their squad, and he worries that a similar situation could materialise now. “That scenario is a realistic possibility and that would be another devastating blow,” he added of players leaving. “They are well within their rights, obviously. No one has come forward to suggest that just yet but time is of the essence. It’s a really difficult time of year as well for everyone, including players.”

I'm sorry but I'm not having it that the players will be contacting Wonga to pay for their turkeys.

Aye, it's not like we've got Paul Merson, or that Eidur Gudjohnsen on our books!
