Dingle Bells, Lennon Smells - Rovers (H) 28/12/15

Post by TonyDomingos » Sat Dec 26, 2015 5:16 pm

The end is nigh.
Às armas, às armas!
Sobre a terra, sobre o mar,
Às armas, às armas!
Pela Pátria lutar!
Contra os canhões marchar, marchar!

To borrow some lyrics from South Pacific:

"I have heard people rant and rave and bellow
That we're done and we might as well be dead,
But I'm only a cockeyed optimist
And I can't get it into my head.

I could say life is just a bowl of Jello
And appear more intelligent and smart,
But I'm stuck like a dope
With a thing called hope,
And I can't get it out of my heart!
Not this heart..."

COME ON YOU WHITES...

I remember you putting us out of the cup at our place. We had no keeper so borrowed Jurgen Sommer from somewhere, who managed to pull a thigh in the opening minutes. Seem to recall that little Scottish fella (Konchesky?) scored a beauty for you. I can also remember you beating us when David Dunn licked Matty Taylor for pace to go on and score. Yes, David Dunn!

Blackburn 4 - Spineless Cnuts 0 (Rhodes to get a hatrick)

Hopefully the last time that the fans have to put up with the likes of Pratley, Danns, Feeney, Dervite, Heskey, Spearing, Wheater, Madine, Lennon and others as they will hopefully all walk away on 1st Jan due to not being paid & if I was the club I wouldn't pay any of them a penny.

GK: Rachubka - Amos needs therapy and a rest
RB: White (recalled from Blackpool where he seems to be doing OK on loan)
LB: Moxey (best of a shite bunch)
CB: Quade Taylor. Why the hell not, we conceded 4 two days ago with seasoned Professionals at the back.
CB: Alex Finney. See Above
DM: Not Neil Danns or Jay Spearing. Anyone got any boots?
CM: Not Darren Pratley ever again. Anyone got any boots?
RM: Fecking Feeney. Meh. Like Theo Walcott with even less brain.
LM: Past caring now. Beefy Wellington. Throw him in.
Up Front: Madine because he's provocatively poor and I'm deeply into rubbernecking.
Up Front: Zach Clough. Shop Window.

I'd forgotten about Quade Taylor, who, on the two occasions I've seen him play has done very well indeed.

Jordan Rhodes to fill his boots, by the way. 0-4.

Alex Finney? Who the feck's he? Didn't he play Ebeneezer Scrooge?

Harsh on Holding who seems to have done all right.
In a world that has decided
That it's going to lose its mind
Be more kind, my friends, try to be more kind.

Chickens leaving home to roost: they'll stuff us in lieu of turkeys. It might break the world record, 0-35 or something.

I know I've mentioned this before, but our squad does still include most of the players that took 28 points from Lennon's first 15 games.
