aye - that'll cheer up Peter Reid! Glad to see he still values his association with us - I had thought we got a bit lost in the equation with his association with Everton and Sunderland...
Nah, that was just to let the memory of his hair die a natural death...

Excellent, and a possible manager for next season? Hmmmmmm..........

Don't nobody piss on my chips. :spank:
Be a good experienced assistant for someone in my view. Not so sure about manager at this stage in league one, working with kids....we shall see.

Yup

Just my opinion though. I think he'd be excellent for us at this stage.

Not sure I'd choose him as manager either, though as an experienced assistant, why not?

But you do realise we're about to slip into league one, losing a million a month, with probably little money to spend.

We aren't the draw we used to be sadly. Virtually anyone we get will have had a disaster or two along the way in their career.

Plus he has a 100% win record as England U21 manager.......

I'll give it 3 days before he and Madine are trading blows :box:

Did not see that one! My worry would be he's a bit 'old school' for the youngsters we'll be bringing on now.

Blimey, no breaking news for years and years and years, then loads at once.

Anyway, Spearing's been told that he can go feck himself!

I watched one of those fly on the wall things about Peter Reid. He has all the interpersonal skills of Genghis Khan.

I think the chairman and owners offices at the macaroon have been a bit Busier this week! Fax machines probably had a dust off! See if they can do the same tothe goal machine.

We've signed him as replacement for Feeney in midfield.

Great to see Reidy back at the club. Useless manager but he played for us decades ago so who cares? Can't wait until Browny joins him either, the glory days will be back! Great job, Deany Holdsyworthy!

Yes, instead we should have just kept the worst manager* in Bolton Wanderers history and gone out of business to boot!

*virtually worst of anyone who was here more than a week.....

it's not quite the same as the Nolan/Big Sam combo-comeback that some fantasised about recently - BUT Deano/Browny/Reidy - that's pretty damn sexy! :oyea:

Yes, but have any of them won the champions league? If not, we're aiming our sights far too low....

If its fair do's to accept mediocrity, then why not just stick with the cheaper option that we already had?
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

In an interesting interview in yesterday's paper, Jimmy Phillips said he had "no plans at this moment" to bring in outside help. (It's interesting because he says he was up for taking the job full-time post-Coyle, only found out he wouldn't get it via Twitter, and refused to caretake post-Freedman.) Hope he's not getting cut up again.

Surely can't be long before Parker and Walford are cut loose.
