Other that the quote said no shares or equity....don't get that bit. That would leave the shares with ED...and the equity with ED...?BWFC_Insane wrote:Actually thinking about this, they buy the shares for £1. Then loan the business the £7.5M. Adjournment granted, with a warning that this will be the very last. Club has 'stretched judicial discretion'.
Basically pay up or face liquidation.

Adjourned!! Judge exercised discretion,as Club have paid some monies via current account!
Eddie your one parting shot should morally to help out in any way you can!

The 7.5M will be loans. The sale of shares equity will be for £1. Is my assumption.Worthy4England wrote:Other that the quote said no shares or equity....don't get that bit. So, now it is clear. Sort the takeover and pay the bill before the next court date or BWFC will be no more. Pretty stark this. Can be no more messing around.

Which is a fine assumption, but at odds with what was posted...no shares, no equity...BWFC_Insane wrote:The 7.5M will be loans. The sale of shares equity will be for £1. Aye but that is someone posting live updates who presumably is having to try and decipher what is being said.Worthy4England wrote:Which is a fine assumption, but at odds with what was posted...no shares, no equity...BWFC_Insane wrote:The 7.5M will be loans. I'm sure the £7.5M is loaned to protect SS. But they'd not need FL approval if they weren't to become owners.
I suspect something like 'the 7.5M will be secured loans rather than equity or shares'

Re: The breaking News thread...
Anyway, when are we next in court? Did we get any points on our licence? Can we take an ownership course instead?

For the avoidance of doubt, note the term 'transfer of ownership'.

Given our away record that's still a bit worryingAbdoulaye's Twin wrote:March 21st, Away in court down in that there London.

Re: The breaking News thread...
How close is that for the deadline day for admin (ie after the points are deducted the following season)?Abdoulaye's Twin wrote:March 21st, Away in court down in that there London.
Me thinks - cynically - they are waiting for relegation to be almost certain; put the club into admin and take the deduction this season, buy the club and pay off everything on the cheap.
However, the small amounts of money owed to the tax - and I mean small by today's football standards (Wigan could probably wipe their arse on £2m?) and it isn't being paid by SS seems, to me, that they don't have the readies and even if they took over it's out of the frying pan into the fire and without Eddie to put it out.
If they had the money, why hang around?
I understand Olympic on Chorley Old Road do a good line in secure padlocks.

Still in limbo.

Re: The breaking News thread...
Given the warning of no more adjournments I suspect it will either be sorted, or we'll enter administration before then. All sounds like a big mess and even if it goes through not much to look forward to.Harry Genshaw wrote:Given our away record that's still a bit worryingAbdoulaye's Twin wrote:March 21st, Away in court down in that there London.

Re: The breaking News thread...
Given Eddie Davies has told the court today via the legal team that he wants to avoid admin at all costs I suspect that is unlikely.Aanvalluh wrote:How close is that for the deadline day for admin (ie after the points are deducted the following season)?Abdoulaye's Twin wrote:March 21st, Away in court down in that there London.

Also I believe the court has to approve admin now so given the warning today from the judge I think it is takeover and pay the bill or liquidation.
Think that is what this boils down to now.
Re: The breaking News thread...
Eddie Davies has the funds to pay the Tax man and he could add this to his future bonus however he's done cock all so what he says from now on is irrelevant.
It's like anyone of us saying that we want to avoid administration at all cost. Meaningless.

You know how a couple of weeks ago I suggested Deano was getting a bit ahead of himself being so public before the deal was finalised? And I got shot down by thebish etc....
Well yeah......
