Re: Sacrifice
Fairly inconclusive overall. An interesting exercise nonetheless. For example, i think Spearing should be playing a much bigger part, but voted for him because he's highly paid and isn't playing any real part at all. I voted for Twatdick despite his low wage because if he stays we might end up fielding him regularly in the first team and that terrifies me.
However if a takeover happens and a different manager comes in it all changes.

Re: Sacrifice
I'd get rid of anyone we can unload from the wage bill.
To have a sustainable future that wage bill needs to be completely stripped down, it's extremely unlikely that we will stay up, so flog anyone and accept relegation.
Hopefully, takeover/administration/etc is all sorted by the summer which means that we can have a proper fresh start.

Re: Sacrifice
Heh, this is quite interesting too: the TW jury voted Spearing its third-favourite player for the chop (after Twardzik and Dobbie) while most folks wanted Amos to stay...
Re: Sacrifice
I think it was more that he was on big bucks but clearly not rated by Lennon so getting paid loads for nothing.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:Heh, this is quite interesting too: the TW jury voted Spearing its third-favourite player for the chop (after Twardzik and Dobbie) while most folks wanted Amos to stay...

Re: Sacrifice
There was also the issue with us having to cough up more money when he played a certain amount of games. Either way he wasn't playing at the time so costing us a fortune.LeverEnd wrote:I think it was more that he was on big bucks but clearly not rated by Lennon so getting paid loads for nothing.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:Heh, this is quite interesting too: the TW jury voted Spearing its third-favourite player for the chop (after Twardzik and Dobbie) while most folks wanted Amos to stay...
