The only thing that lot tell me is this is far from amicable. Hopefully phil can get on with his job, he was andersons man anyway.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:They have, now.officer_dibble wrote:Reading between the lines it looks like a right mess! Re: Sports Shield - New Owners (Probably)
The NLFA twitter account, previously run by Deano has been tweeting Bolton Wanderers related things for a couple of days. And re-tweeting messages of support to Deano from BWFC fans. So I assume Deano is back on that account.
Anyway, yesterday it posted this....rather coincidental don't you think.

Always wondered what the point of a Director of Football was all about when you've got fvck all money

Re: Sports Shield - New Owners (Probably)
I get your point but it's a very adaptable role. Depends what needs doing. Maybe the first-team manager isn't one for communicating with the youth management; perhaps you need to scout for new coaches; happen you need to improve training facilities; suppose you want to independently assess performances (coaching and playing) across several ages groups to identify areas for improvement. It's often more long-term thinking than "taking one game at a time, Brian".boltonboris wrote:Always wondered what the point of a Director of Football was all about when you've got fvck all money

mmm didn't quite get the deal we did
Wolves have been taken over for £45m by a Chinese group, Fosun International, the club has announced. The Championship side have been up for sale since 2015 and Fosun is to pump up to £30m into the club over the next two years as part of the deal.

Alternatively look at the problem with Forest's current takeover....StaffsTrotter wrote:mmm didn't quite get the deal we did

Wolves up for sale for a long time. We had to sell from a position of total mess and winding up orders in the space of a few months.

I don't know whether anyone caught it earlier or not but Ken Anderson did an interview with BBC GMR before today's game and it can be found here.
The bit about foreign investment sounds interesting.

Heard it. Far more impressive than his ealy interviews.Nicko58 wrote:I don't know whether anyone caught it earlier or not but Ken Anderson did an interview with BBC GMR before today's game and it can be found here.

Seems to have a clear plan, retain ownership but bring in further investment. Sounded like further investment would probably only happen if we can get out of this league to the championship. Which makes sense. Value of club would increase.
He was very honest in explaining details of the embargo and accounts. Also seemed very keen to make it clear that the accounts about to be submitted are awful and of course to stress he wasn't in charge during that situation.
Impressed me today.

Mate of mine noticed that Deano didn't seem to be in the directors' seats at Wimbledon, which you'd expect him to attendTonyDomingos wrote:I've been thinking the same thing. Does anyone know if he still attends the games?TANGODANCER wrote:Where exactly is Dean Holdswoth in all this?

Impressed with that! Sounds like we could've brought even more players in! From the outside looking in... he's doing a fine job!
