Long term, that's what I'm hoping for (Trust involvement). Either the current ST get an actual trust set up, with a voted for steering committee without the pretense of "we've selected these people ourselves due to the tight timescales"; or a separate and proper democratic one gets set up in its place.

The proof really will be in the pudding for the current Trust, now that they can't hide behind tight deadlines.

If anyone could photoshop Dean Holdsworth's face on to this that would be a start

Well I hope there's no connection between two of the top BN stories today:
Bolton Wanderers granted reprieve in High Court as takeover steps closer,
and
Machete-wielding ram-raiders steal £20,000 from Tesco superstore in Farnworth
which has this significant detail "The robbers were dressed in sportswear and flat caps..."
Stop everything!

When did Farnworth get a Tesco Superstore!?
It's where Silcocks used to have the fair every year! Next to Kwiksave....

He's not wrong. I'd quite like to pud the current Trust too. The proof of the trust will be in the pudding.

Dean Holdsworth on radio Manchester from 6pm tonight.

Not sure if he should be too public considering the deal isn't done yet but there we are.

The deal is done. A SPA is in place and has been signed. It's the ratification yet to be carried out. But the deal is done.

Yes. But it needs Football League approval. And then needs to satisfy the court that the debts have been paid off.

If it wasn't for Dean Holdsworth and sports shield's persistence in what was clearly incredibly hard and long negotiations then I think it's fair to say we probably would have seen Bolton Wanderers liquidated or at least in Administration today. So from that point of view initially at least we have to be very thankful.

The rest will be apparent over time I guess.

well - bwfc isane Deano delivered to your brief - said feck all - wouldnt say what monies would be available, nor whether lennon would be retained; just basically that they'd shown enough money to cover this and next season.

They should be able to sign off on the accounts then and lift the embargo. Whether they'd then fork out for a loan striker remains to be seen.

Maybe the negotiations were hard and long because their initial offers were farcical. What's certain is that we won't ever know, as we we'll just get somebody's version of what happened.

The questions were stupid. He's not going to say how much money they have under any circumstances.

And until the takeover is complete how can he answer questions about a managerial position? Clearly he was irritated by the questioning.

They have shown the money to keep us going this year and next. Which for now is good enough. Seeing as nobody else managed that.
