Sports Shield - my considered opinion: I forsee hard times ahead as all the assets get mortgaged and the reality of how much it costs to run a football club hits them hard in their venture capitalist funded cajones, but at least they'll move a lot of the focus away from that clique of deluded, narcissistic, preening knobheads who masqueraded under the illusion of fan power who can now properly concentrate on signing up a membership and organising proper democratic elections.

Long term, that's what I'm hoping for (Trust involvement). Either the current ST get an actual trust set up, with a voted for steering committee without the pretense of "we've selected these people ourselves due to the tight timescales"; or a separate and proper democratic one gets set up in its place.

The proof really will be in the pudding for the current Trust, now that they can't hide behind tight deadlines.

If it wasn't for Dean Holdsworth and sports shield's persistence in what was clearly incredibly hard and long negotiations then I think it's fair to say we probably would have seen Bolton Wanderers liquidated or at least in Administration today. So from that point of view initially at least we have to be very thankful.

The rest will be apparent over time I guess.

Maybe the negotiations were hard and long because their initial offers were farcical. What's certain is that we won't ever know, as we we'll just get somebody's version of what happened.

They have shown the money to keep us going this year and next. Which for now is good enough. Seeing as nobody else managed that.
