Which muppet can we appoint next?

He did caveat it with "unless Anderson wasn't being totally honest".

He also broke the news that Parkinson is the man, just now.....

Surely it can't be as 'the club is being run in an amateurish way'....

He's an interesting stat I just picked up off his Wiki page:

Parkinson is currently the fifth longest serving manager in English league football having been with Bradford for 4 years, 285 days.

Well this could be a good appointment. And perhaps will signal the end of the embargo. If they've got Parkinson I'm pretty impressed with that.

It doesn't change the fact that I feel it has been amateurish so far in terms of messaging and conflicting interviews, but if they've got their man and can get things moving then fair play.

Based on the fact that the Cotterill/Adkins story was yesterday, as was the Parkinson ruled out story...I'll wait for the official announcement thanks, instead of believing everything he writes.

He ruled Parkinson out using direct quotes from KA saying they wouldn't pay for a manager in work as the quality of "out of work" managers was so high......

BBC Manchester reporting it too FWIW.
They get their stories from Iles....

Bradford local media reporting it, which is probably more telling.

Have you never thought that they (KA/DH) are actually quite professional and have been keeping their cards close to their chest, so as not to alert any other club to Parkinson's availability, saying that he's quite a highly rated manager.

Perhaps what KA said about not paying compensation was a deliberate curve ball, whilst negotiations where ongoing with Bradford / Parkinson....and perhaps the guy knows what he's doing ?

Call KA and SSC as much as you want but this is a fantastic appointment for the football club. Onwards and upwards and upwards.

There must be silent investors. Pre-season tours to europe don't come cheap, Parkinson would have cost a couple of hundred K in comp and I think its only a matter of time until the embargo is lifted.

Well done SSC, KA, DH & Team.

Or a deal for Holding is close to being finalised?

I suspect it was a curve ball and as you say a potentially clever one at that. Fair play.

The messaging beyond that hasn't been great though but onwards and upwards.....

If it is Parkinson, am quite happy with that. Doesn't seem a bad manager. Anyway, I await with bated breath tomorrow morning. (we must have sold Holding!!)

Heh, soap opera. Except hopefully with an ending, and a happy one at that.

If it's Parky, that explains the delay - and as noted, Ken's played the media (and forums) like a banjo. Let's hope the new gaffer unites the club and we move onwards and upwards.

Don't know a great deal about any of the contenders, but Parky seems like a good choice. My gut feels better about him than the previous 2 appointments.

Think anyone is a gamble. Hope he is decent for us. Something positive at least and hopefully a sign of things to come for the rest of the summer.
