Did a great job at Swansea. Kept Wigan up for a few seasons and won the FA cup. Great job there then surely? Failed at Everton. Ish.

I'd take that kind of shit at our place anyday

Yes I totally agree - this would be the 'potential coup' touted by Iles, but in all honesty how would we afford Martinez's salary, that's if he was even remotely interested in the BWFC job

Martinez or Adkins - Yes either would do for me....

do you really think we were talking to Martinez a couple of weeks before he was sacked? I'm sceptical...

No way Bob Martin's coming here, he'll hope for a Premier job, get a Championship one and not get them promoted

No I really don't think that we've spoken to him.....but it would be the 'absolute coup' IMO, hence my how could we afford him comment.

We don't have any chance of getting Martinez !

I guess that'd be some time after you mentioned that he'd turned Wigan into a really good side? :-)

Yeah great. Others have taken Swansea further. He scraped a few survival seasons at Wigan and won an FA Cup.

I still think he's a chancer who has been found out. Mincing around in his coat talking about projects......ughhhhh

If I was a gambling man then I'd have a couple of Quid on Bob Martin pitching up at Norwich. Some nugget on Look North was saying that Everton should go for Mourinho because they're "a sleeping giant and a massive club". Is it actually possible to be both? :conf:

Everton. Think he's loaded. Supposedly the one who made the decision to boot Martinez, rather than Kenwright.

He's a tanned Owen Coyle.

Won't find any posts from me where I call him other than a chancer. Other than, perhaps, where I claimed Jean Beausejour was responsible for the Wigan success. Which I stand by. Bielsa's Cruyff. Which makes Emerson Boyce Guardiola?

Although there is potentially a 0.1% of martinez coming, he's style of football is/was the most attractive to watch in the premier league. First season he got Europa while on buying players with the money he made off selling players, i.e Fellani. I am convinced he lost the players hence the pathetic recent results, but i also feel he was unlucky at times this season. If he beat chelsea after that suspicious goal i think everton would've continued its form and be right up there with southampton and west ham. But thats my only opinion.

Saying that i'd be happy with Adkins to

IMO, getting the right manager in is more important than getting players in! I'd spend every last penny and break out every promise in the book to get Warnock installed!
