Re: Which muppet can we appoint next?
To me, one of the most important boxes to tick is lower-league knowledge. I believe his only lower-league experience was at Plymouth, and that didn't go very well. At all.

Can you Snapshat the photo to Brucie? He's into that sort of thing, apparently.CrazyHorse wrote:Yeah.

Re: Which muppet can we appoint next?
For the love of God, no!
The days of the type of manager (in any walk of life) who thinks that it's OK to take a shy at their operatives heads with the teacups whilst subjecting them to a volley of verbal abuse is thankfully a thing from a bygone era, which is where Reid belongs.
May the bridges I burn light your way
Re: Which muppet can we appoint next?
ha! that's a very generous narrowing down of the games counted!!He was unable to keep Bolton up but helped the Championship’s doomed bottom club finish with a four points from their final four games.

I think the new manager is going to be Douglas Owen Chris Alan CoyleyMcStubbsWilder-Hill the Third.
Pfffft.

Can you narrow it down a little? I'm not sure which one you mean.TKIZ! wrote:I think the new manager is going to be Douglas Owen Chris Alan CoyleyMcStubbsWilder-Hill the Third.

I'll start the "DOCACMcSW-H the III out" thread immediately.malcd1 wrote:Can you narrow it down a little? I'm not sure which one you mean.TKIZ! wrote:I think the new manager is going to be Douglas Owen Chris Alan CoyleyMcStubbsWilder-Hill the Third.

Re: Which muppet can we appoint next?
On* the BN today: Stubbs not near top of patient Wanderers' shortlist.
*I've decided to start saying "on the BN" rather than "in the BN" as the copy comes out online at different times - sometimes before the paper, sometimes after. Just so you know...
Which is quite right by me. What if, say, Bradford lose narrowly in the play-offs and Chorley lad Phil Parkinson, the league's fifth-longest-serving manager, decides he wants a change? Meanwhile we've rushed into appointing Kevin Nolan overseen by Peter Reid...... it is thought (Stubbs) does not feature in their current plans ... Although impatience is growing among the fans, Wanderers continue to take a watching brief on their new manager. Their shortlist is affected by a number of factors, including the fact Nottingham Forest are also looking for a new boss and sussing out some of the same names. Peter Reid remains a strong option, working alongside another younger manager, while other candidates could soon come to light depending on the end-of-season job changes elsewhere.

Re: Which muppet can we appoint next?
I agree completely, I just wish that they'd said they were waiting until after the season finished before making a decision, rather than coming out several times, saying a decision was imminent or that it had already been made. That didn't help anyone.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:Which is quite right by me. If they'd have said that, then it would have taken a lot of pressure off DH and KA, and some pressure off our interim managers too.

Oh yeah, totally. Just because I think they've got the waiting right doesn't mean I think they're impeccable. They need to stop with the confusing noises and undeliverable promises.Rjs37 wrote:I agree completely, I just wish that they'd said they were waiting until after the season finished before making a decision, rather than coming out several times, saying a decision was imminent or that it had already been made. As a fine example of how things change at this time of year, I see Frank de Boer's left Ajax. Not that he's coming here, obviously, just saying that people become available in May that weren't in March.

Nigel Adkins becomes available today... he knows the division!

Indeed - promoted from it three times with two clubs, as champions, runners-up and play-off winners. Less successful at an uncertain Reading and now the fourth manager in four years to lose his job for not taking the Blades up.thebish wrote:Nigel Adkins becomes available today... he knows the division!Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:As a fine example of how things change at this time of year, I see Frank de Boer's left Ajax. Not perfect but I'd rather him than his fellow Scousers Nolan, Reid or Stubbs.

Adkins would be a good option. New owners should be getting hold of him right now.....

I don't like the way his eyebrows ate permanently raised during interviews.

I don't like him either. I think it's because he looks like a smug prick!LeverEnd wrote:No.BWFC_Insane wrote:Adkins would be a good option. New owners should be getting hold of him right now.....
