Deano wrote:On the pitch our philosophy is clear. We want players who will pull on the shirt with pride, players who will run through walls to get results, players who will be role models in our community and, most of all, we want players who will bring a winning mentality back to the club. This summer we will not be building a squad, we will be building a team, a team we can all be proud to call our own.
Good bit of rabble-rousing rhetoric (second sentence) followed by an interesting semantic division (third). Maybe a forewarning that we're cutting quantity as well as quantity, getting a lot of players out if at all possible. Not that that's a massive surprise, of course: we've got a squad stuffed with overpaid underachievers and for once I'm among those wishing for a general flushing.

And I've gone on about it more on the contract expiry thread...

The proof will be in the eating, of course, but those are fine words from Mr. H. Just hope it's possible coz sure as fck those attitudes have been missing a while.

Prices are fair enough. As Iles says the club couldn't go too far otherwise the hit to revenue could be too restrictive.

As above I hope they can achieve what Deano wants. I have my doubts it can be done in one summer but at least they could start us down the right road and give us all some hope to cling to!

That's the problem, right there. Start with "We're fooked and going down again" anything better will feel like a good season.

My word, they are cutting back! Remember the large and very glossy brochures we've had selling us season tickets since the premiership days? None of that now. I just got a letter, double sided and in colour but still a one page letter.

For info the deadline for reduced prices is 12th June, east and west lower adult is £358, east and west upper is £386, north lower and upper is £280 and then there are a raft of reductions and concessions.

Screw the season ticket prices. How much are they reducing the download/print at home tickets by?

Just so you know - if anyone on here is interested in whatever it is that Iles has to say, or that other cockend that you fantasise about, then the chances are that they know where to find it.

Exactly the right thing to do and I would expect similar cost cutting measures everywhere possible.

Excellent news. We must have saved enough money to pay our useless stump captain's wages for at least a week!

Fellas, just set my mind at rest...

I just got an email reminder about the 11 month direct debit deadline. Am I right in thinking that because I was on the scheme last year, I need do f'kall for them to renew automatically?

I do nowt and it just auto-renews, so I don't see how this year would be any different, Chief.

Sorted my tickets. I paid cash. That way, if we're sh1te next year, I won't kick myself every month when the direct debit comes out.

You'll be head in hands, wanting to commit suicide because you will have laid out loads of cash all at once. I know what you're like
