Millwall are "resigned" to losing him because he's Northern.
We are also being linked with GK Matt Gilks, free agent last at Burnley (and born in Rochdale 34 years ago), and striker Matt Proctor, also out of contract at Bradford, who scored 10 goals for them and Fleetwood last term (and was born in Preston 24 years ago)

It doesn't really say 'urban free-wheelers'.Prufrock wrote:Used to play for Sheffield Weds. Think we were linked quite heavily with him when Megaton was here ave he was a highly rated young cb. Played in the play off final against Barnsley and scored I think. Solid enough when I've seen him.

Good to see the football league helping us out...oh....The Bolton News understands Football League officials have rescheduled their meeting with Ken Anderson and it will now take place on June 27, just three days before the summer window opens.
Doubts had already been voiced that paperwork would be cleared in time for Phil Parkinson to begin making signings on July 1 but the extra week’s delay – which has been caused by chief executive Shaun Harvey’s unavailability – now makes that eventuality even less likely.

Yeah sorry, Jamie Proctor. Proctor in the house. Proctor on call. Proctor's strike. Etc.twilight wrote:Is it Matt Proctor or Jamie Proctor DSB? So many "procs" aboutDave Sutton's barnet wrote:Millwall are "resigned" to losing him because he's Northern.

I doubt Ken will be telling the BN his schedule of movements with the football league on the embargo. First we'll hear will be when it is lifted probably.

Do you think DSB's a proctologist ?twilight wrote:Is it Matt Proctor or Jamie Proctor DSB? So many "procs" aboutDave Sutton's barnet wrote:Millwall are "resigned" to losing him because he's Northern.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Re: For new signings, ask the man from the Pru
It wasn't mentioned on here yesterday, but the BN says two Championship clubs have enquired about loaning Mark Davies for the season. Same story repeats that Wigan have asked about loaning Pratley "but have indicated it will not be fully investigated until the end of the transfer window".

Why loan when they can have them free?Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:It wasn't mentioned on here yesterday, but the BN says two Championship clubs have enquired about loaning Mark Davies for the season. Davies wants to stay and has offered to play for a reduced wage for 1 season. Club apparently want to get rid of anyone who they possibly can

Boris, where has this information come from ?boltonboris wrote:Davies wants to stay and has offered to play for a reduced wage for 1 season. Club apparently want to get rid of anyone who they possibly can
Hats off to the lad if true & its a 50% reduced wage or similar, I'd have him on a reduced salary without a doubt.

Re: For new signings, ask the man from the Pru
Trouble is, Hobes, they couldn't: if they signed players under contract they'd be under duress to match (or pay off) their current salary. If they borrow them they can offer us a slice of their wages, in the sort of deal Ken said he wouldn't agree to. It seemed bullishly idealistic then, and if it gets to late August and someone's offering to pay £10k of Darren's £14k wage for the season, would we be better saying yes or no? What about £6k of it?Hoboh wrote:Why loan when they can have them free?Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:It wasn't mentioned on here yesterday, but the BN says two Championship clubs have enquired about loaning Mark Davies for the season. Can't blame them, and I can't imagine a queue of distraught fans readying to throw themselves under the wheels of the departing players' rudely expensive cars.boltonboris wrote:Davies wants to stay and has offered to play for a reduced wage for 1 season. Of course he does. He's enjoyed years of getting paid for doing nothing. Why would he choose to leave?boltonboris wrote:Davies wants to stay and has offered to play for a reduced wage for 1 season. Club apparently want to get rid of anyone who they possibly can

Anyone reckon he'd get 8k per week, anywhere? (Which would reputedly be the "half" of his salary...)BWFC_Insane wrote:Of course he does. He's enjoyed years of getting paid for doing nothing.
