For new signings, ask the man from the Pru

It's shite but there's no one to blame but ourselves.
I blame Eddie Davies and the previous board.
Yup. Like I say, ourselves.
Well yes, but league punishing fans and new owners for past mistakes. And whilst that is fair enough they are doing so in the most arbitrary and nonsensical way...
No, but, yeah, but, no, but, yeah, but, no, but, yeah but I know.....

That may be true but that the FL is so hard on us but doesn't bat an eyelid at Championship clubs spending £10m+ on individual players is somewhat frustrating...
They can only judge these things by looking at the accounts though, can't they? As far as I understand it, we still haven't submitted ours.
Good point, but surely for those kind of transfers they must ask the club where they got the money for it from, compared to the previous year's accounts? It'll be interesting to how a club like Derby are looking when they submit the last year's accounts later this season given they spent so much trying to get promoted last season.

bloody hell. I'd like to play poker with Chesterfield's scouts.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Doesn't surprise me. Said we'd find someone; I thought it might be Carlisle or someone. Their willingness might depend upon what percentage pf his wages we were ready to pay; if it's 100% of £2kpw or something, it's a relatively small price to pay to open up a slot in the 23. The loaners get a free player, we get a free slot.

Blimey. Thought that he'd be looking at Chorley at best.

I mean if we get James Henry, big If, but if we do that would be a big step up on those players. Don't know anything about Anderson but Parky will.

absolutely - if we have to make room - and there are players parky wants/rates - then all we can do is offloasd the ones that someone else wants!!

I'm really upset re Woolery - he was the kind of player (along with Kellet, Threlkeld, Maher et al) that I thought would be getting some proper game time this season and at least be given 10 or 12 starts to show what he could do. I trust in Parky but to me Woolery has been the best prospect of all those kids we've let go in the last few years.

Understand there are FOUR signings ready to roll...
And Wanderers are trying for a fifth.

From Iles' blog. This could be a late one....

Nobody confirmed yet.

Seems like Alnick and Anderson very likely. Henry from Wolves the biggie....if we pull that off.....
