A classic argument strategy: stating the unprovable hypothetical as a certainty. Just as easy for anyone else to say: would he shite.

I'll be interested to see how he does at Cardiff, where he appears to be collecting has-beens.

Exactly D.S.B, saved me posting. A classic Auntie Fanny/Uncle Tommy scenario.

He would have imho. I mean he made the difference at Rotherham.

Like if you are a struggling Premiership side you know a Pulis or Big Sam will save you in all likelihood.

I doubt we could've paid him tbh. He'd the cash been around, I wouldn't have been unhappy to see him arrive.

As a short-term appointment I'd have been happy with it

Shame
But where would he have played tonight? Cant see him defending from the front, which is integral to our game plan.

Said some nice stuff about us on SSN but he preferred the idea of championship football. There was every chance we couldn't have taken him anyway wasn't there, what with the Thorpe injury?

he would've "buryed" that Proctor chance!

I thought Proctor did well when he came on. nothing spectacular, but did the basics well.

There was a couple of great through balls too in the second half with no bugger anywhere near them. One from Ameobi, which he went ballistic (I think at Madine) over and a great ball into the 6 yard box from the left (think Taylor) with no bugger even looking for it.

Madine was full of effort - but not in the "having shots at goal" sense...

Madine got subbed after the 6 yard box one
He genuinely looked shattered so I'll give him the benefit. But Odemwingie chase down defenders to make them lump it Wheaters head?

No, I'm fairly sure he wouldn't but the chasing down is a bit easier to do at 3-0 than 1-0. :-)

I was going spare at that Taylor cross. Thought Procter was decent apart from...

That's exactly what I thought. Do we know the full extent of Thorpe's injury yet?

We could try Deano upfront. Never misses a sitter...

Madine was superb tonight. Battered their centre backs. Probably for me one of the differences between the two sides, alongside Clough's direct running that they couldn't cope with.

Danny Higginbotham on co-comms was constantly gushing about Madine's workrate. Vela also covered yards like mad. Proper team effort.

We lack a reliable goalscorer but you do have to wonder if one who gets through the hard yards would be in our price bracket or even our division.

Anyway: bloody lovely result.

Yeah, think we'd have to unearth one. Madine put a lot of hard work in tonight as did all the team.
