Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Anyone know/presume/educatedly-guess if Cardiff are picking up the wages?

Impressed with Lee Anderson Twitter. Seems to be handling it well. Conversing with Bolton fans, avoiding fights and doing most things tongue in cheek.
Said he was around the club as an agent when Sam was manager. Which is interesting. Perhaps the link to the club, and perhaps Sam brought them into the deal?

He's playing for Cardiff tomorrow according to LA. I suspect Parky has other targets but who knows?Harry Genshaw wrote:No sign of ALF coming in the opposite direction?

Christ. It wasn't meant in that way. More just saying the club had confirmed it in case anyone missed it and also perhaps a comment that the BN were a bit behind....thebish wrote:yeah... that's told you throwaway!BWFC_Insane wrote:Club confirmed it ages ago.throwawayboltonian wrote:BN have confirmed Amos to Cardiff for a season's loan.

Wonder if we might have to run with just one senior keeper to allow another area of the first team to be strengthened. Would be a gamble but probably worth going for if the league won't budge.
Currently can't see how we could strengthen under one in one out basis given we don't have any spare to send out.

are we actually working on a one in one out basis?BWFC_Insane wrote:Wonder if we might have to run with just one senior keeper to allow another area of the first team to be strengthened. Would be a gamble but probably worth going for if the league won't budge.

Tbh I don't think we need to panic. Osede, C Taylor, A Taylor and Wilson can play in midfield and Pratley will be back in December. If Clough or Clayton ever get fit they can also play in an attacking midfield role. Losing Mark Davies is a real blow but it is just one player, one who lacks an end product and doesn't actually produce that many goals/assists.BWFC_Insane wrote:Wonder if we might have to run with just one senior keeper to allow another area of the first team to be strengthened. It is an interesting point about paying up Mark Davies' contract and releasing him. I am not sure if he has to be contracted to still treat him, but certainly it makes sense to pay his contract up and do whatever we need to do to nurse him back to health, given his contract is up at the end of the year anyway. That would release a spot to buy a player.
Of course, we could always submit our accounts/SCMP documentation and operate like a normal club again....

Even if we did the league still have a restriction in place as part of their monitoring of the new takeover. So I'm not sure that would make all or any of the restrictions go away. I assume Ken has shown the league draft accounts at least to remove the total ban.bristol_Wanderer3 wrote:Tbh I don't think we need to panic. JSL, paying a player off, counts against your wages spend.

... but not your total number of players in the squad.Worthy4England wrote:JSL, paying a player off, counts against your wages spend.
So, easy-peasy. Suspend the contracts of any player ill or injured or banned or simply playing shite ... even BEING shite and we're sorted.

Away from our struggles, it seems Chelsea are about to sign Marcos Alonso. He was decent but didn't think he was that good.

I hope we got a sell-on clause. A cut of €25m is a lot of money these days, especially in our current predicament.
