Yeah, he's not exactly terrifying the Boro defence with his pace and goal threat...

I'd put that goal down to both Holding and Wheater both ball-gawping and leaving a billion-dollar striker unmarked in the six-yard box. But each to their own.

No idea why Woolery was so hesitant on his chance.

My mate in the pub was laughing at my pessimistic attitude when I predicted this.

Disappointing from Woolery, really thought he had the pace to get clear and put a decent effort in. Does kind of highlight the differences in our striking options...

Is it me or have we just been extra bobbins at the back since Wheater returned from injury?

Fortunately, the south London pub I am in (pre Bromley v Torquay, Bish!) is only showing the Norwich game.

Feel terrible for everyone that's paid money this season. Only season one and a half games and it's shocking! No idea what we're going to do to challenge next season.

Add to that Pratley, derik, trotter, the lack of composure and skill from these is alarming. We cant take those into the 1st div.
Holding, vela and clough have a lot of learning to do, the marking at times is woeful they dont know were the opposition players are.
Still, looking forward to Fulham,

Deep sigh as they sally forth again and..

This is where my Scouse supporting neighbour came home from work/shopping? knocked on the door and said "Wanna watch the match?" and off I went......to see us lose again....ah, well.

Looking at the positives, it was a 2-1 loss against the probable champions of the division. If we were still in the relegation battle (with a proper chance) we'd have taken heart from that result.

What was glaringly apparent was the amount of time we spend ball-watching and the casual half-hearted passes pick off us by opposition. As for remembering that shooting is allowed as well as passing and heading, well. Heskey did well on the goal and just for a while I thought......well, I should have known better. Can't undersatand the amount of blatant fouls the officials either don't see or ignore. We've gone from powder-puff to thuggery rules in two seasons.

Very naïve - why on earth did Holding drop back onto the line for the winner, instead of marking Rhodes....terrible decision making, and also Pratley just ball watching. Pratley sums up this Bolton side....he's clumsy, a head less chicken & his use of the ball is appalling. Still amazed that Lennon ever made him captain - he should be the 1st out of door at the end of the season.

Clough & M Davies played ok, but for me Woolery is nowhere near 1st team level....but we just don't look or play as a team, we play like a team of poor individuals - can't fault the effort but they are disjointed & overall a poor set of football players who struggle with the basics.

But everyone just knew what was coming & apart from his goal Vela was shocking, as was Moxey.

This myth that we will be saved by the u21 lot next sessin is being well and truly exploded. Understandable desperation I suppose.

Jermaine Beckford has just scored for Preston. Even the Beckford that trudged around the pitch for us would saunter unchallenged back into our current starting 11.
