Freedman "Bolton move was a mistake"

Post by TheHeatonWanderer » Sun Jun 05, 2016 6:44 am

Former Bolton boss Dougie Freedman said to Bolton news that moving from Palace to Bolton was a mistake.
"It was the wrong decision and I do regret it – let me put that on record – it was by myself. Nothing was forced, it was a decision made by myself," Freedman "At the particular time of leaving, looking back, I sometimes question myself. I was strong-willed, hard-headed and ambitious, and I could not take a no. I kind of thought I was King Kong and I could fight the world and that it was my way or no way. That was wrong of me."
It was a bloody mistake appointing you, you incompetent fool!

I see he's still rambling incoherently.

What I'd like to know is what classes as Heaton these days. I bumped into an old footie team-mate this morning who informed me that he now lives in Smithills. When I asked whereabouts he replied "Just off of Harpers Lane". He seemed to take exception at me pointing out that Smithills is perfectly formed between Smithills Dean Road, Limefield Road and Moss Bank Way as far as the lights at Moss Bank Park, and that he actually lives in Halliwell.
May the bridges I burn light your way

 I have a mate who claims the same. Haliwell road is Haliwell.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Yep. Mate lived just off Adrian Rd in a 2 up 2 down. Looked down on my identical house in great lever because he lived in Smithills. Bollocks!

I live near the lion of Vienna, I'm not so sure either where Heaton starts and ends in all honesty.

I know someone who lives on Ivy Road, near Chorley Old Road who insists that they live in Smithills. I blame the estate agents who expand the nice areas to sell houses. They have a job to do I suppose but the people who buy these houses are being tricked or paying more than they should because they think they live in Smithills.
Do not trust atoms. They make up everything.

You're fine. When we have our own independence referendum you get a vote. Two votes if you live near Fanny's though.

What is it about the football industry whereby proven chumps still land key positions?

Indeed. The ears of every shithouse with a link to Palace have just pricked up. The Champers'll be out in the Moxey and Garvan households. :D

If it's any consolation Douggie, the whole of Bolton agree with you.

It was a mistake. Not in appointing him necessarily but in actually supporting him. Misplaced promises I would imagine. Came so close to playoffs after having his hands tied

And decided to change the winning formation for the last game against Blackpool. Two down after 20 minutes or so?! Absolute 4ucking wanker.
