What the f are we doing? We don't just climb mountains, we make em too. Again we go and....a throw them. Ten mins to go and....now Amos has to make a good save. Madine wins it, they have it back and Amos has it. McCallister got the goal and Madine gets shoved over to no avail. Moxey.....Wilson....Woolers, Taylor, Davies.....Vela....Wilson and...they clear. Can we really come back again? Wooolery wins a free kick near the box and............Taylor and.......and.....Davies and...they clear and break and Heron breaks and scores. Thats it. Fed up and out.

4-2.

Wow. Amos must love picking that ball out of that net.

Tony Kelly going on one about Mark Davies not shooting on site. Can't disagree with him.

The first test away from home and its the same old pile of garbage, that is an awful showing against Blackpool's shite team.I hope Parky isn't yet another manager who can't organise a Bolton side to keep the ball out of the back of its net.

Its the league fckin cup...much more bothered about saturday.

Interested inwhat the difference is down to.

Calamity Amos in goal?

Lack of steel in midfield?

Buxton and Wheater missing?

Alex Finney being a bit shit?

However, a very decent chance to get the away win monkey off the back squandered.

Agreed!!! Let's not start bitching just yet. Cup run would be nice in an ideal world! League is much more important!

Lack of steel in midfield. Ok going forwards but they just ran past us at will and no one tracked back. Both full backs very poor and wide men walker and Taylor an absolute joke.
I'm bothered cos I was fecking stupid enough to go!

We'll all take this on the chin if we get a result at the weekend but we all know that we can't be trusted to get a result away from home.

A chance to beat a side that were there for the taking and they feck it up royally.

1 nil up and Madine misses a sitter. You know it's only going one way.

"Madine missed a sitter". Wow. That's a surprise.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Why was derik subbed?
Suggested tactical on bn.
He was the tackler in there surely? Vela/Trotter/Mark Davies should be enough against a league 2 side mind...

Amos - not sure he was to blame. No protection.
Wilson- useless excuse for a footballer.
Moxey - no positional sense, caught out agsin
Beevers - dealt with most stuff ok but not sure where he was for the goals.
Finney - looked nervous but not terrible.
Trotter - slow and lacking in quality as usual except for one great cross
Derik - started really well
Davies - flashes of brilliance but part of a midfield that shirked responsibility.
Walker - Dire in every aspect of the game. Should never get near the first team again.
Taylor - almost as bad as walker. Slow lightweight and clueless
Proctor - limited but a worker, good header.

Subs

Vela - passenger, average utility man
Madine - shite. No threat at all.
Woolery - energetic and an excellent finish but a bit clueless on the ball

On the tram home. I have to lay the blame for that one directly at Parkinson's door. 25 minutes gone and we're spraying the ball about midfield, looking calm and probing. Deryck gets swooped for who knows what reason and is replaced by consistently the worst player we have and we start getting sloppy.

Both full backs were poor tonight, particularly Wilson. Walker will never make the grade. Taylor was shocking. No pace, no end product. Unsure why we signed him. We got complacent and switched off too often in the second half.

A couple of good points. Mavies looked Ok at times running at the back 4 and Finney and Beevers looked solid most of the time. Woolery did well and looked a threat.

Time to concentrate on the league. ..
Uma mesa para um, faz favor. Obrigado.

You can sum the reason we lost up quite easily, dominated large periods but weren't ruthless and at the other end we always looked like there was a cock up about to happen.

Frankly just like last season. Derik was injured but I'm not sure he made much difference.

The weakness is that we had a lot of ball but created relatively little. We have no cutting edge. Our final ball non existent half the time. The midfield looked good when in possession. When not in possession likes of Davies, Trotter might as well sit down, because they just let runners to past them unchecked.

The back four did OK until they capitulated but Moxey and Wilson were both awful in possession.

Taylor was poor and Walker, is never, ever going to make it as a league footballer. Lad has the odd nice touch but is probably 3 or 4 leagues above his ability in reality.

Davies, an attacking midfield player who looks nice on the ball, makes the odd very good run but produces consistently zero end product. I wonder if he even understands the need to shoot to score....instead he just runs, aimlessly until he is dispossessed, or tries some clever pull back. Sorry but whilst he looks nice he produces nothing. And does that consistently.

Proctor looks a good buy to me. Limited but puts himself about. And was a nice goal.

Overall very frustrating. Games was there for the taking especially after scoring just before half time. All it needed was a professional second half and concentration to keep a clean sheet. With that setup we simply aren't good enough to do that. We can't keep clean sheets with that midfield. Pratley and Spearing hugely missed for me and I think Parky might have to think about bringing in a replacement for Pratley. Because we will struggle trying to carry passengers in there.

A 20 goal a season man sorts most of this out because we'd have that cutting edge to kill games off. But without that, and it seems unlikely, we probably have to revert to grinding out clean sheets and hoping we nick one....

I know you said created very little, but we scored 2. Wasn't able to ho to the match, but surely when you bag 2, you should be better than evens to win the match?
