COME ON WHITES.......Keep playing and forget mic man talking about hanging on.....goalkick them and Buxton... and Clarke has it for them. Beevers nods the ball out for what micman claims is a soft corner. Robinson gives us a free kick (he likes charging forth at us looking for a winner, not the first time) Now then.....how long....? They come, we clear, throw them and...long and, we clear and....away we go.....and the keeper nips out and grabs it. Spearing gives away a cruncher and mic man say....five added minutes. Proctor loses the ball, Wheater heads out for a throw.....Howard clears.....

I do wish mic man would stop pratting on about how many hundred years it is since we won away. Clough has a sally but they get a goal kick. Clark wallops, Wheats clears. Proctor has a fluffer attempt. IS IT NOT TIME UP YET.....? They clear, Howard whangs it out for a throw and.....some chat and.....micmen reckon we might have deserved to win......WE HAVE.....2-1 US......  :oyea: :oyea: :oyea:

Fecking yes. I'll take that thanks to my reverse jinx. Always thought we'd win this as evidenced by yesterday's naive optimism.

It wasn't pretty but it was effective. The first 20 mins aside we were the better team and I was confident at half time that we would go on to win it. There was a clear gulf in class between the two teams. I'll write a full report shortly.

Wheater MOTM for me, Madine also worth a special mention.

Second half was much better, we were by far the better team. Tactics were dodgy I thought though, game was crying out for some width and especially in the first half we were just spraying long balls all over the shop with no-one to get on the end of them.

Vela looked lost, I think he needs to refocus where he's going as a player, and Mavies for me is done, Clough made such a difference when he came on in his place. Proctor ran himself into the ground today and tried to make up for team's lack of width by sitting further out.
