The home match on the 15th of October Vs Oldham corresponds nicely with the Bolton Beer festival at the Macron too...

Re: planning ahead...
Swindon tickets are on open sale. Just bought two, £25 per pop, and I have to admit it wasn't with great enthusiasm.
(Swindon is a week on Saturday, after the two home games against Oxford and the midweek empty-stander against Blackpool in the Boycott Cup. Remember the Swindon game starts at 1pm, presumably because England play later that day under charisma vortex Gareth Southgate.)

It's a joke that they change these fixtures so late, have flights and hotel booked for the game that weekend.TonyDomingos wrote:Home game v Gillingham now on tv. KO 8pm, Monday, 12 December. Box office gold for Sky.

Don't have to go but may as well now, the game is really just an excuse for a weekend on the beer, so piss up won't be cancelled.officer_dibble wrote:Do you have to go now?

It's a sell-out! #BWFC's allocation of 3,200 tickets for this coming Monday's trip to @buryfcofficial have now all been snapped up.
Last night's attendance at Bury was just over 2,000.

You'd expect they'd all be out for this one. But then they've just tweeted this:TonyDomingos wrote:Last night's attendance at Bury was just over 2,000.
Probably too busy worrying about their fourth winding-up order of the year, which landed this morning.

Re: planning ahead...
Always the case with them, TD. Even when Stan Ternent had the best Bury side of our lifetimes playing in the Championship the people of Bury failed to get behind them. Probably too busy making their way to Trafford.TonyDomingos wrote:Hope someone was willing, General.General Mannerheim wrote:Id still like some tickets for Bury if anyone willing...

I thought that the people of Rochdale might have turned out for our game there too (a former colleague, Dale fan, drove up from Dorking for it) but they didn't.

per Bury Times:
Bury served with fourth winding-up petition of the year
BURY Football Club has been served notice to appear at the High Court in London to answer a winding-up petition.
The petition has been brought by HM Revenue and Customs and a date for the hearing has been set for Monday, November 21, at the Royal Courts of Justice.
It is the fourth winding-up petition served by HMRC against Bury FC this year.
On the three previous occasions – in January, April and June – the petitions were lodged after the club missed the date set for payment of its tax bill and were later dismissed after it settled its debts to HMRC.
Bury were made to pay court costs in the first two cases but vice-chairman Glenn Thomas said they were awarded costs in June after the bill was paid before the wind-up petition was served.
It is unclear whether the club has yet been able to clear its debts with HMRC on this occasion.
But a club spokesman said: "The club is aware of the matter and will issue a statement in due course.
"There is no issue and we have instructed our lawyers to deal with it."

Re: planning ahead...
Not sure what we expect from a team just outside Manchester who have been in the bottom couple of divisions for all but about 4 years in the last 50.
The people of Bury, don't support Bury. Not the fault of their actual fans. More likely to see a Barcelona shirt outside Gigg Lane most days than a Bury shirt. Which is sad
They roughly have half the population of Bolton, but with absolutely nowhere near the same catchment area, nor recent success
