Out, damned Spotland, I say. Rochdale (A) 27/9/16

And we're back in the room :D

My first game of the season. We have to be able to beat Dale, don't we? :?

Bruce, you would certainly think so and it would be a tad embarrassing if we lose to Rochdale - but the way the team's been playing recently I'd be very pleasantly surprised if we managed to beat them, I'm expecting a 1-1

Henry is a doubt apparently.

We don't really have the squad right now to cope with three games a week in this league. Think we'll struggle again, because we probably need to make 3/4 changes and rest a few but don't have the options.

This is the reality until we get a few more back fit.

Also, Rochdale are just coming back into form and Hill will have them wound up. Probably not the best fixture timing for this one.

Could have done with another week off to get Madine and co fit again.

Well, they've just won two on the bounce and drew the preceding two, PT. I also note that despite them being 6th bottom they've managed to score 11 to our 6.

Having not seen the side play yet I don't know what things are like at the back or in the middle for us, but that goal tally's nothing short of being appalling.

So we'll get dicked and once again people will moan at the manager. We're down to beyond bare bones right now and the fact we didn't get out of transfer embargo is coming back to bite us.

What utter bollocks - KA has done enough with the football league to enable PP to sign more than enough players, most if not all fans where singing KA's praises at the end of the last transfer window, you included....

PP needs to take a look at his training or non training methods as 1. We are getting far to many injuries already & 2. The team looks absolutely knackered after 30 mins

You were signing Parky's praises when appointed. And up until about 3 weeks ago.

I'm not criticising Anderson, but the fact is we're light in the squad because we have too many injured. Anderson and Parky both said we wanted 3 more on deadline day. I think clearly we have a decent squad compared to many, but we do seem to have too many that are injured too often.

As for training methods, this has been a problem since Big Sam left and I suspect isn't an easy fix. We had a fair few injury prone lads when Sam arrived and he didn't fix them overnight. I do think that the way we're working and grafting (which is commendable) is possibly taking its toll.

I'm still behind PP and think he's the best manager we could have got & I do have faith in him - however, doubts are starting to creep in a little already regarding his tactical nous and I just wish that he wasn't so defensive minded & would set the team up to be a little more attacking.

Saying that I want us to go up this season, not in another year or 2....

It's going to get to the point soon, where we'll be unable to scratch an Eleven together, never mind an Eighteen

Was looking forward to this until the past 2 games.

Hope Beevers isn't fit, hurt my neck watching his skyrocket hit and hope hoofs.

Clough must start surely.

I think we will probably lose this. Foret blaming injuries, the players we have should be able to cope in this league. Sadly, the manager is sticking with the formation despite not having the players. Proctor as a lone target man will be bullied all season.

Hope we can sell out. Disappointing if we can't take 3500 to a ground that isn't much further from Bolton than the Macron

And if anyone is on the train, Eagle pub followed by Weatherspoons before the ten minute stroll to Spotland

Fvckin hell Bruce

haha

In all seriousness, I like a footballing defender as much as the next person, but being able to defend is more important. He's showing himself to be an excellent defernder this season, so he'd be a bigger miss than anyone I reckon

The idiocy is unbelievable. Beevers has been outstanding this season. Our best player by a mile so far along with Spearing.

Let's hope our best defender is injured....feck me!

Beevers has been excellent. We're in the 3rd division. I neither expect nor want Franz Beckenbauer or Gudni Bergsson.
