Less than riveting-sounding first half (oh for Super Kev and Nolan Kev), well we're hardly Barcelona right now (but there's time and maybe a Messi will emerge instead of a mess). The curtain rise as the players bounce out (well, maybe troop?) forth with the Whites testing the vistors nerves by being last out. Oxford have a sub....?

And now.....the atmosphere becomes electrical as Trotter does a Groucho fall. Henry almost has one headed past his own keeper by a visitor error. Corner, keeper.

A launch at us and then....Madine gets refused a foul before we get a free at our end. 14207 of a crowd announced before Zac hands them a goal kick/free kick? McGuire gives us one back with a handball. A whoosher goes back and forth before Moxey has a chance to get a big one in and....the keeper catches. Crowd try a bit of vocal urging on then ....the O's sally forth. Throw us now and Vela geting decent words....Spearing, Henry, Clough......ends with a throw. And now....we get a free kick and......Vela and......and....Zico has a mumble and Henry and.....and.....and.....the keeper grabs it yet again. Not learning much are we?

Back and forth, to and from then Henry goes, Vela, Clough....hand ball? no sire, and micmen ask about change. Taylor goes and.....loses it but we win it back and go again.....plenty passing but no punch. Keeper winning everything. Now's the time to hit them and....well, McGuire comes at us and.....Wheater clears and they get a yellow for a bad crunch on Henry? Our ariel launch specialist wellies one that ends with a goal kick them. Only a win can rouse my mood at the moment, but they come again. They have anothe sally and Trotter falls foul of the ref and gets a booking to the micmen's disgust.

Free kick them and....that becomes a corner. McGuire is (it seems) doing far more attacking than most of our lot combined. COME ON WHITES........Howard and.....micmen talk of change again. We go and Clough and Taylor lose it but it ends with a throw as "good news" announces a trip to Bury and an equaliser.

Boos in the air at the Macron sounding like frustration. We try, they clear. Moxey goes as some local heroes warm up with a game of statues. Oxford make a sub as Thomas replaces Rothwell. There apparently an exciting game of chess going on at Ambridge. Oh, the visitors have a corner that we clear. Long ball of course....Throw them as the musketeers, Ameobi, Proctor and Anderson all draw rapiers and shout "all for one and all for me s they stride forth to replace Clough, Henry and Madine.." Now then......

Scunthorpe forge ahead again at Gigg as Ameobi gains a throw. Our half, so backwards, then Moxey, Trotter and Anderson ride forth. The grab and clear but back we come. Vela, Proctor and Ameaobi go and Ameobi tests the atmosphere for fog. Vela goes again and we gain a throw...a genuine throw and....and....some possession then.....some more, but wait.... and the ref misses a corner shout. Mic man claims boredom....What??

Anyway.....Trotters cross is caught by the keeper (how many is that?) Come on lads, one scruffy goal will do. Goal kick us and I predict a welly.....and it is and....Spearing, Wheater, back to Howard to welly again. We go again and.....nothing happens. Again we charge and Proctor wins one for Moxey......and....well, it's the O's who get a shot in that might have been better....thankfully. Ohhh.....Howard has to save a thunderbolt from McDonald. They're smelling blood....

Throw them and....Beevers clears for a corner....hackingly. McDonald again....but we clear. Bck they come and it's very hard to feel enthusiastic although the crowd try to rouse something, assassination perhaps, ....mic man being negative....Here they come again and win a corner....Oxford is it whao want it? Howard Tyson's one then they get a throw. Oh, let's go to Gigg Lane, well, why not, let's call at Moss Bank and......ffs they score...0-1

Can this be true as 14 000 boos ring around the stadium? What the fxxx is happening when we cant' even get the keeper to make a save and.....Ameobo gives a free kick away.

Wallop from the, Wheater clears and......and......Taylor.....wins corner as Spearing hobbles around. Taylor and....cleared and...they clear it away. This is Bolton Wanderers playing isn't it? Rochdale, now Oxford.....and a free kick them. COME ON WHITES...FFS..... Throw them and Moxey and Proctor clear. Ameobi goes, Proctor, Spearing, Trotter....somebody shoot will you.....they break again and.....are offside. Have we had more than two shots all game? Two mins and stoppage (which surely can't be more than three/four mins?) Moxey, cleared. Vela wins us a free but it's all sounding too little too late....and Spearing and.....and.....and......thirty yards and....in, out, back again and.....they grab it and break and......goodbye....2-0

Can't justify spending any money to watch this dross. Tactics are shocking. Effort poor. Quality non league

Yeah, that's the thing that I've been keeping an eye on. It's not everything, but it's a key performance indicator and it's not uncoincidental that we sound like we've been woeful.

Why would you think he'd want to come to a League 1 side with no money?
