I have never started a match thread and as it is now the day before the game I am a bit sad there is not already one set up.

Anyway I am going for another steady performance and a 2-1 win COYWM!!

I'd like to offer my congratulations on a perfectly formed match thread.

Nothing but good should come of this. 2-0, Whites.

There isn't a goal in our side.

1-0 to us.
Scrappy performance and they dominate but we manage to scrape a win.
Gives a much-needed boost to confidence and we then continue the rest of the season unbeaten, winning the division by a country mile.
The League 1 team of the season is made up entirely of our players and PP is manager of the year.

What could possibly go wrong......

Time for some hyperbole- This is a Must Win Game. 1-0 in the 88th minute after battling against their inevitable 11 men behind the ball.

I'm going for 4-0 to The Wanderers
We are owed a good performance and a few goals from the likes of Messers Anderson, Henry, Ameobi and Proctor
With me being a glass half full person - what can go wrong?

I can predict with some considerable accuracy, a significant amount of whining coming from behind me in a Leigh accent.

With you until the end of line 2! My prediction exactly when discussing yesterday. You appear to be a wise man.

Oxford have taken just one point from their five away games this season. We're undefeated at home. What could possibly go wrong?

I know, I keep telling my hubby to shut up but he gets so passionate with our exciting play :)

A bit of Endeavour called for here. No dreaming spires today because Oxford are the visitors. A useful 2-0 win to drag us back on the up. 2-0, yes  , that's 2-0.

Just for once in the last five f*cking years I'd like to walk into the club house after my game and not see watch my team lose horrendously via a 21st century Teletext.
In a world that has decided
That it's going to lose its mind
Be more kind, my friends, try to be more kind.
