Decided to go on the train from tiverton. I do hope we see some effort, passion, oh yes decent passing football .Bruce Rioja wrote:Good luck everyone that has to drive through that fecking roundabout(s).Devon White wrote:The away bar 71 at the ground opens at 11.00 if anyone wants to meet up.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:Anyone else ordered tickets through the post and not had them yet? Someone (Bish?) has had this issue previously. IIRC, the solution is ring the club and have the tickets brought down on the coach. Oh, and check that Mrs Barnet hasn't hidden them just to thwart your escape!Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:Anyone else ordered tickets through the post and not had them yet? I reckon you must pay extra to not have them delivered.

Cheers TD. The Good Lady Wife doesn't mind my trips, I suspect she quite possibly enjoys the time off... As it happens she's working from home today so if they're not in the morning post I shall get on to the club. TaTonyDomingos wrote:Someone (Bish?) has had this issue previously. I'm amazed we've sold that many. I'm guessing that they're mainly to younger types who've never seen us play Swindon before?HMX wrote:Tickets available on the door for this. Sold just over 500.

Probably. Played them 14 times in a decade '89-'99 but none since then.Bruce Rioja wrote:I'm amazed we've sold that many. I'm guessing that they're mainly to younger types who've never seen us play Swindon before?HMX wrote:Tickets available on the door for this. Sold just over 500.

Any sign of your tickets, DSB? The early ko prevents me from joining you & the 500 at the County Ground.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:Probably. Thought it'd be more than that, to be honest. There was a time when it felt like we were playing them once a fortnight. Didn't Fjortoft refuse to join us because he thought Swindon were a better bet for promotion, or have I dreamed that up?Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:Probably. Re: Swindon (A) 08/10/16 1pm - Match Thread
There was a time (Oct/Nov 89) when we played them more often than that - on four Tuesdays out of five, because the first three League cup games were drawn. This is when we were D3 and they were D2. Indeed of those 14 games, 6 were cup ties (the other being the 95 League Cup semis), meaning that we were only in the same division four times in that decade (94/95, 96/97, 98/99, 99/00).Bruce Rioja wrote:Thought it'd be more than that, to be honest. I think he was linked, but might you be conflating that with Bernie Slaven joining Vale rather than us?Bruce Rioja wrote:Didn't Fjortoft refuse to join us because he thought Swindon were a better bet for promotion, or have I dreamed that up?

Game should be on this link
If it says 404 not found in the player keep clicking on the "404" text and it will start playing.

Trotter is on the bench, which as the consensus on this site is a good thing.BWFC_Insane wrote:Christ, that looks a shite team that we've picked.

Nah, I remember the Slaven episode, I've got it in my head though that Fjortoft gave us the bum's rush as well. Though I could be completely wrong.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:There was a time (Oct/Nov 89) when we played them more often than that - on four Tuesdays out of five, because the first three League cup games were drawn. BBC has 3 matches postponed due to insufficient players. Is there a plague or summat over there?
Re: Swindon (A) 08/10/16 1pm - Match Thread
I noticed that. Perhaps it's got something to do with the international weekend?Abdoulaye's Twin wrote:BBC has 3 matches postponed due to insufficient players. Is there a plague or summat over there?
