I always wondered if it was anything to do with the quite strong ties between Man U and Celtic. Maybe, maybe not. All very bizarre really.

The Man U/Celtic thing was basically a supposed religious item link at one stage. There was a saying about that if you went for a trial at old Trafford,(around the George best era) be sure to display your Rosary beads to get in. It is no secret that Sir Matt Busby was a devout Roman Catholic. Then again, religious thoughts rarely have much to do with football fans except as an excuse to behave like morons by taking a side. What do modern English football supporting youth know about Irish historical/political matters anyway? That's how daft it is.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:I always wondered if it was anything to do with the quite strong ties between Man U and Celtic. Maybe, maybe not. All very bizarre really.

I think the main sticking point with this debate is trying to rationalise morons.

This time next year...
In a world that has decided
That it's going to lose its mind
Be more kind, my friends, try to be more kind.
