Never done this before and couldn't find one however I come with good news, well if you like watching gravy drain down the sink.
This fixture is actually being televised in Europe. God knows what people have done to deserve this but that means those that love punishment can probably watch live on a less than legal stream.
Hoping for a really good 2-0 win to the whites.

I'll be watching live, with my eyes, from the away end. Even as I bought the tickets I felt existential ennui.

They used to say that about Errol Flynn. Apparently, it was just a rumour spread by his agent.LeverEnd wrote:Live in Serbia, Bosnia, Macedonia, Croatia and Wiltshire.DJBlu wrote:Never done this before and couldn't find one however I come with good news, well if you like watching gravy drain down the sink.

My one and only trip to Swindon was for the League Cup semi in '95. Let's hope we do better this time around. And we might: they're as bad as us!
Last six league games:
Bolton - DDLDLL F2 A6
Swindon - LLLWLD F6 A10
This season in the league:
Swindon home - WWLLL F5 A7
Bolton away - WWDLL F5 A5
1-1 written all over it.

Seriously, and I've made the point before, we need a Chris Eagles type who isn't afraid to shoot on sight. How many goals have been scored against us from rebounds by players shooting whenever a chance occurs? Clever, good looking goals are very nice, they just don't count any more than scruffy tap ins ( Ameaobi, Tuesday?) If we can't get somebody in for whatever reason, get the team on shooting practise. Barcelona or Barnsley, a goal counts just the same.

Part of the problem of late has been players reluctance to shoot outside the box. I do wonder whether that's because the players don't have the confidence or whether they're acting on instruction. Either way, we need to start having a go and following the ball in.

To some extent, I can see the fear of quick breaks and goals resulting from losing the ball by random shooting (a recent happening at the death with everybody forward) but it certainly wouldn't hurt, surely, to mix it and try a speculative shot or two? They don't have to be Zac type drone precision curlers, two of the best goals I can remember came from: an Ivan Campo grass blisterer against Spurs, and a Chris Eagles low-level rocket from out on the left somewhere after a goalie error.Bijou Bob wrote:Part of the problem of late has been players reluctance to shoot outside the box. Spearing and Wilson? both have benefitted us by leathering one. Got to read better than three shotson goal in ninety minutes which is sad....

The problem is with this is, you'd need your "Attacking" midfielders to move into an area to shoot.TANGODANCER wrote:To some extent, I can see the fear of quick breaks and goals resulting from losing the ball by random shooting (a recent happening at the death with everybody forward) but it certainly wouldn't hurt, surely, to mix it and try a speculative shot or two? Those midfielders are Trotter and Vela, so that puts the mockers on that idea...

Despite getting tickets from the club I was one of about 20 Bolton fans in a single line of seats in the Swindon stand with stewards dotted around us. Good job they're a civilised bunch in Wiltshire!

My only trip to Swindon was the 3-3 league cup tie in 1989. Philliskirk with a blinder, a clear penalty denied us and a last minute equalizer from Mark Came.
Right now I can't see us scoring 3 before the end of October

1-1 is what it'll be. Mark my words. Mind you, I had a beer bet with each of my American colleagues on the Ryder Cup, and I'm meeting up with them next week, so I'll be the one that's skint throughout October.

Anyone else ordered tickets through the post and not had them yet? Bought the buggers on the 29th and they've not come yet. Who do I ring and shout at?
