Just for interest...
I found some old game ticket stubs in the back of a book tonight and was surprised to remember (find) that when we played Atletico Madrid at the (then) Reebok it was only £10 ENTRY. That was in Feb 2008. Seemed a real bargain now.
Wonder what it would be today? Jooooooffffff...
Going off other stubs, back in September and December 2006 it was £28 a time when we played Middleboro and Portsmouth. Mind you, we were a prem team then... just thought I'd mention it. In the Portsmouth game we were winning 3-1 then Andrew Cole scored for them with a couple of minutes to go....we won 3-2. Funny how some games always stick in mind....

I was with the home supporters for the return fixture. Cost me €23, IIRC. The recession and low inflation since 2007 mean ticket prices today shouldn't be too much dearer than a decade ago (though we've dropped a league or two ... ).TANGODANCER wrote:I found some old game ticket stubs in the back of a book tonight and was surprised to remember (find) that when we played Atletico Madrid at the (then) Reebok it was only £10 ENTRY

Re: Just for interest...
I was thinking about this the other day when I came across some old tickets. Might see if I can dig them out again
Re: Just for interest...
I think I've got a full set of programmes from our first season back in the Prem at the Reebok.
Would that be of interest to anyone? Any collectors out there?

1950's for me. Memory not good enough to remember prices. Dad paid.

I remember as a kid 50p would do it. 5p either way on the bus, 30p in and enough left for a drink o' pop.

May the bridges I burn light your way

Re: Just for interest...
So, these tickets I discovered - pretty much all terrace (seats marked with *), adult price. Concession prices, where given on the ticket, noted second. All home tickets are Paddock - where else?
1991/92 - division 3
Bradford (A) £5.25
Southampton (A) £6
1992/93 - division 3
Liverpool (H) £7 / £4.50
Derby (A) £6 / £3
Blackpool (A) £6
Preston (H) £7 / £4.50
1993/94 - division 2
Stoke (H) £7.50 / £5 (Same price for home cup games with Everton, Arsenal, Villa & Oldham)
Sheffield Wednesday (A) £12 / £89*
1994/95 - division 2
Swindon (H, Lge Cup semi) £8 (no concession price given on new ticket design)
Stoke (A) £11*
Boro (H) £8
Liverpool (Wembley, Lge Cup Final) £40* (on the side slightly behind the corner flag)
Reading (Wembley, PO Final) £22* (further round the curve for this one)
1995/96 - tier 1
Leicester, Norwich (H, Lge Cup) £11 (so presumably that's what it was in the league - I had a season ticket)
Man City (A) £12*
Spurs (A) £13*
Bradford (A, FA Cup) £7
Leeds (H, FA Cup) £11
Blackburn (A) £14*
Leeds (A) £14*
West Ham (A) £15*
Arsenal (A) £11* ("uncovered seating")
1996/97 - tier 2
Southend (A) £12*
Chelsea, Spurs, Wimbledon (H, Lge Cup) £11
Grimsby (A) £12*
Luton (H, FA Cup) £11
Man City (A) £11* (presumably they dropped their prices on relegation)
Oldham (A) £12 / £10 / £5 *
Tranmere (A) £10*
1997/98 - tier 1
Wimbledon (H, Lge Cup) £13* (North Stand Lower)
1999/2000 - tier 2
Villa (Wembley, FA Cup semi) £25* (pretty much as far back on the curve as you could get, ie half a pitch away)
2001/02 - tier 1
Leicester (H, Lge) £24* (Lofty Lower)
2002/03 - tier 1
Southampton (A) £24
2003/04 - tier 1
Fulham (A) £28*
2014/15 - tier 2
Fulham (A) £30*
2015/16 - tier 2
Eastleigh (A, FA Cup) £15 / £10
Brighton (A) £25* / £20 (O65/U21) / £10 (U18) / £5 (U10)
Fulham (A) £30*
2016/17 - tier 3
Wimbledon (A) £17 / £11 (conc) / £4 (U18)
Millwall (A) £23*
I must have more ticket stubs around, but I can't find 'em at the moment. Anyway, it seems like prices only crept up till the turn of the century, sine when they seem to have doubled and more.
