Re: Ken Anderson - New Owner (Definitely. For Now ..... )
He’s done another column. Another long one. Think he’s out of order at the end bringing Eddie D into it again.
However
I note Remi Matthews and Gary O’Neil are back with us. O’Neil - fine; registration slowed down until football creditors paid post EFL payment. Matthews - suggests that the “6 figure sum” owed to Norwich now paid.
What therefore about Doudge? Did we promise to pay for him on 1st Jan, forgetting the EFL payment not made until yesterday? Has Dale Vince simply lost his shit to make a point/ decided they wanted him back for a promotion push? Or didnKen really promise the money, then on a phone call at the start of the month promise it again the following day, knowing full well it was 2 weeks off? What on earth is the true story here? And have we now paid his wages for the last few months?
Plus - how much or how little did the players themselves know - given they were buying homes etc?

Ken's latest column should cheer up DSB further, including a link to one of his stories.
Whatever the rights and wrongs and all the financial shenanigans to see the words "John McGinlay will no longer be welcome at the club" is really hard to take.

On the first thing - it’s a mixed blessing! You can imagine the ribbing I’ve had from my old mates back at FFT...Harry Genshaw wrote: ↑Fri Jan 18, 2019 8:45 pmKen's latest column should cheer up DSB further, including a link to one of his stories.

On the second - I agree. We can guess at his intentions but I’d assume it’s not something that will set well with very many fans, no matter how much or little they liked him aforehand.

It was a really good article pal with quite a few jaw droppers in there. It's also very depressing & tends to suggest several years in the wilderness for us given the current circumstancesDave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Sat Jan 19, 2019 11:09 amOn the first thing - it’s a mixed blessing! You know, in a way I do feel a little bit sorry for Ken, things clearly have not worked out how he thought and it appears he's bitten a bit more off than he can chew, in a financial sense anyway.
One thing I can say is the previous management structure left a total absolute mess in their wake, Ken's tried to correct this and is taking all the flack for it.
Having said all that I do think he is overreacting dishing out his bans and is making this a bit more personal than it needs be, if he thinks people are spouting bollocks then just say so and don't get over involved.
Supporters by their very nature get extremely passionate about their club and everyone wants to win something, let's be honest here, one of the most successful periods of the club is well within most peoples recent memory, not a distant past like the '58 cup final even the Jimmy Armfield/Ian Greaves era do not resonate like Big Sams tenure for many now, so whoever is in charge has their work cut out.
I just hope we all get a happy ending but I won't hold my breath.

Protests cost money!
And at what point do we get the “action necessary” to ensure we are a championship team next season?

Let’s hope this is good news. No source and no indication of whether it’s a frying pan / fire job yet!

Well, this sounds notably further on than anything before. I really hope that this is the real deal, both in the sense of it actually happening and the prospective new owners being good sorts.

Is it coincidental that Dean Holdsworth just parted company with this current employers?

The comments section on the BN is ace; ignoring the amount of due diligence and time these things take its all as a result of the protests ‘we got Ken out’. Hope they have loads of coin to spend (let’s ignore FFP and the spending that got us in this mess in the first place). Bring back Big Sam(!!). Would rather a rich sheikh takeover - UK consortium is bad! That’s my fave, all these experts in football club takeovers have obviously been out selling mid size north west clubs to arab billionaires for a while!
There’s stupid and there’s the idiots that write in the comments sections of local newspapers online!

Former City trader turned football manager. Came to prominence with Brentford, becoming manager partway through 2013/14 and leading them to promotion from the Third. They were doing well in the second tier but he was cast aside as they entered their analytical moneyball period under new owners. Took Rangers back up to the top flight but couldn't get near Celtic and got the flick; then became one of the million managers unable to untangle the wreckage that is Nottingham Forest. Can't blame him for either of those.

Our next manager if this goes through.
Ex city trader, did a good job at Brentford, not so good at Rangers and I think Notts Forest?

Re: Ken Anderson - New Owner (Definitely. For Now ..... )
A quick internet search turns up an article from last weekend in the Scottish Sun by our old friend Alan Nixon in which he claims Warburton is hoping to take up post at an unnamed Championship club in the near future.

Done is, with his brother, joint owner of Betfred. Is there anything that would prevent a bookmaker from owning a football club (on whose results, he takes bets)?

Wouldn't surprise me if Warby installs himself as director of football?
