I find it strange that as the Wanderers continue to flounder all is quiet at the local paper...
Surely if the town's football club is about to go tits up on Wednesday, they'd be making more of a noise. I get that Iles is on a mini-break but surely somebody else is on the case?

He'd better get a skate on then. He's not the sole source of news

Interesting time for Iles to go on holiday, wasn’t he decorating the last time the club nearly went down the drain?Leyther71 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 18, 2019 9:29 pmI find it strange that as the Wanderers continue to flounder all is quiet at the local paper...

Anyway, I’m guessing we’ll hear nowt till Wednesday now I guess. Brinksmanship, with our football club, yet again.

Iles is back today. Will be interesting to see if anything happens. Not because Marc’s back, but because we’re once again getting very close to the edge now. I’d still expect no movement until tomorrow, but neither would it be astonishing if someone does break rank today. Could be Ken reopening talks or Moonshift threatening him. Doubt it’ll be Basran reaching out, but his phone won’t be off.

Moonshift want their money - they don't care about anything else.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Tue Mar 19, 2019 9:01 amIles is back today. Will be interesting to see if anything happens. It all seems very bleak today. Not sure what way out there is. Perfect storm - admin seems unlikely unless someone pays for it.
Takeover seems dead. Winding up order tomorrow would mean the club ceases to exist once liquidated....
Is there a magical saviour on the horizon? If there is they haven't got very long to reveal themselves....

Hear that the Whites Hotel being run on a cash-only basis, notices/staff telling guests that credit facility has been withdrawn. Never a good sign. #bwfc

This all has a different feel to me than last time we were in this pre-takeover position and facing a winder...BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Tue Mar 19, 2019 9:05 am@MarcIles

No - doesn't feel at all comfortable. Last time, I always thought (based on nothing in particular) that ED would find some way to stop us going to the wall - which is pretty much what happened. This time, I have no such thoughts about Anderson.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Tue Mar 19, 2019 9:26 amAnd not in a good way I suspect....Worthy4England wrote: ↑Tue Mar 19, 2019 9:15 amThis all has a different feel to me than last time we were in this pre-takeover position and facing a winder...BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Tue Mar 19, 2019 9:05 am@MarcIles

Re: Ken Anderson - New Owner (Definitely. For Now ..... )
Its always been my worry. Anderson is in hock to ED trustees for £5M. But he in turn loaned that to the club against their assets as a secured creditor. In worst case scenario he walks away with 0. That does not give him much incentive to save the club unless Basran is giving him a decent pay off as well as settling those secured creditor debts....and of course knowing Anderson he plans to recover his £5M then challenge the loan with moonshift...who knows what is in that man's brain.Worthy4England wrote: ↑Tue Mar 19, 2019 9:48 amNo - doesn't feel at all comfortable. Re: Ken Anderson - New Owner (Definitely. For Now ..... )
Lots of folk saying that KA owes Eddie('s family) £8m, not £5m, and that the last £3m is unsecured. If true, does this mean Ken doesn't have nothing to lose? ie that he will have debt, bankruptcy, ignominy, a second disbarral from company ownership etc, if a deal isn't struck?BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Tue Mar 19, 2019 9:59 amIts always been my worry. But in general, yes. Skint as we were and as determined as Eddie was to draw a line, you always got the feeling he couldn't let the club pop - and so it proved, last time. With Ken, not only do I fear he hasn't got the money to save us, I also worry he hasn't got the desire. Again I come back to how important money is to him. It doesn't work like this but would he allow the plug to be pulled if our old club's extinction made him an extra £5m? £1m? £500,000? £500? 5p? For all that he's managed to keep us alive, for any benefit he has been, in the long run history will judge him on how his involvement with the club ends, this month. I hope he does the right thing.

Lots of speculation from seemingly informed people about the £8M - but then that adds a problem it means Basran needs £8M and the same people saying that is what KA owes say Basran doesn't have £8M....so if you believe one.....Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Tue Mar 19, 2019 10:12 amLots of folk saying that KA owes Eddie('s family) £8m, not £5m, and that the last £3m is unsecured.
