Maybe someone has made a bid already, hence the deadline for LB. Sale and wages paid on Tuesday, Brentford played on Thursday, Forest on Sunday. Happy days.

BN now saying the Brentford game is "pencilled in" for Wednesday. Get your boots on, Pies, we're making our debuts! :D

Not before time. Centre back pairing; not so much running around, Tone.

Would never blame a man who pumped hundred millions in a club then writes it off.
Me neither.

How about a bloke who was paid 600k a year minimum, assured us our 'real' debt was serviceable due to yer man not wanting his wedge back and who signed off on Keith Andrews getting 30k a week over 3 years & Ben Amos 16k a week over 3 years?
And £30K a week to the clubless, unwanted by everyone despite being a free agent, utterly useless lump of fetid shit, Zat Knight? Don't forget him as well. ;)

We also seemed to mess up selling players on. Wigan and Blackburn seemed able to sell players at high prices whereas we got ourselves into tricky contract expiry issues and lost out. Cahill being the prime example - bought as a promising young centre back for £5m, turned into an England international, sold to a champions league club for £6.5m at the same time as united were spending £25m on Jones.

Blackburn got more money for David Bentley than we got for Nicolas Anelka and then there is Marcus Alonso - left Bolton on a free due to contract expiring, 3 years later sold to Chelsea for £24 million

Howard is a sad loss. Not necessarily to truth, but a sad loss all the same.

On Aldridge, not sure his packing his bits is hugely significant. At some point he'd need to.

How does it really feel? All joking apart, a couple of greedy money grabbers have dragged a fine and proud club down into the dust. We're national news for all the wrong reason while two "businessmen" ( tuppence halfpenny chancers) with no real interest in football except to say, "Oh, I own a football club" play silly games and our reputation as a founder member of it all is in tatters. Surely somebody cares enough to sort it out? Oh, how, don't even ask because I have no more idea than anybody else, but there should be a law against this sort of situation ever happening. Tell me it's nothing new and I'll say it is to Bolton Wanderers.. After a lifetime of cheering the Whites through thick and thin, I just feel sick. I feel gutted for the faithful who travel all over the country supporting Bolton Wanderers all season long. I wish K.A and Bassini would just disappear where they came from along with all the greedy players and agents who've made a handsome living from the game and only care about more, more,more.. That's just putting it respectfully. I don't feel at all respectful to either of these two sightseers and time wasters.

Totally agree with all that - it’s a very sad mess!

Remember yesterday's Kendeadline? It's tonight now.

https://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/sport/1 ... -deadline/
All parties have agreed that in the event of the EFL not being satisfied with the proposed funding structure presented by Mr Bassini then negotiations will cease with immediate effect and Mr Bassini will withdraw his interest in the club.
Well, we'll see about that, too.

Nixon seems to be saying Football Ventures would be back in the game if it goes to admin.

Loads of times. Ken's kindly akquiesced to akkommodate the 7pm meeting between Bassini and Shaun Harvey, at which Big Bad Baz has to prove he has the readies. Once the two bald men have finished fighting over a comb, it goes (allegedly) one of two ways: if the EFL approve Baz, he gets the club and Ken goes quietly (feel free to raise eyebrows); if they don't, Bassini walks away (feel free to raise eyebrows) and Ken is presumably free to put us in admin.

So, a question the lays bare my inexperience with football law (any related law really) :

If administrators are appointed to govern the club(business) and guide it back to manageable ways, why not just appoint the admin specialists as directors, finance and general management in the first place? I mean, how much of a lesson do we need to get 200 million pounds in debt, end up with no money, our accounts frozen, in court with all and sundry and all our players on strike (probably goodbye time for some). I'm still wondering on that one ? Wouldn't be so bad if the "owner" of the club (whoever that may be) didn't end up with a fat bank balance sailing his yacht into the sunset whilst the club flounders in the quicksands. Yes, my questions may sound naive, but.....?

Apparently Taylor's just been on TalkSport, speaking in less than glowing terms of our Ken

Just seen (but not heard) him on SSN too

I think we'll learn a lot soon... when folk can talk...
