Was that when we wanted a work permit for the guy who went on to score against England, direct from a corner?Abdoulaye's Twin wrote: ↑Fri May 10, 2019 7:51 pmLet's hope it's not John Aldridge involved after the last time he got involved in our transfer business

Slips into the chairman's office unnoticed and leaves a little present.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Fri May 10, 2019 11:54 amWouldn't surprise me if they were actors. "Wear sunglasses and suits. Don't go full sheikh, that'd be too obvious. Speak in a thick but not easily discernible accent. Mumble to each other. Point approvingly at things - floodlights, etc. When we get near the pasty advert, point and ask and then we can all laugh together like we're best mates and you're bound to offer the most money."

If / when we enter admin and when the club obtains new owners I wonder if all previous contracts re naming rights are null and void.
So for example if this Chinese interest comes to fruition they would inevitably require their name associating with the stadium.
Perhaps we could become the ding-dong-do stadium.

Still not in feck* admin yet though are we?
Never mind, just admin, “bidding war” (ha!) and then a new manager, sign a squad under an embargo to sort before pre season...

What it won't be:
The Tianamen Oval.
Dalai Lama Stadium.
The Mainland-Taiwan Peace Bowl.
What I'd love it to be:
The Bamboo-chewers Endangered Panda Sporting Arena
That's not a leopard!

It's a bit - well - Italian as a choon, if I might make so bold a statement. Not really Chineseish - although the opera is set there. It's also Persian derivative and she's allegedly a Trot. Pick the bones outta that.

Apparently Mike Ashley promised all Newcastle players a holiday to Las Vegas if they stayed up. Today he rocked up in the dressing room to tell them inspite of survival the trip was not happening....
Ken and Mike must have swapped notes.

Days of Dave Higson seem so recent and yet a lifetime ago.

Will it have the Bruce Lee Anderson stand? That should cover all the bases.
