Re: Saddling up Saturday
It's an important game, we really need a win if we've any chance of getting automatic promotion.
Hopefully get back to 1-0 us.
As an aside, I've noticed that the "game thread" is being posted a lot nearer the kick off date now we're actually not doing too badly.
Some people just want to get in there nice and early with the doom and gloom, this season must be killing them....

What a hero, What a man...... Ooooh, what a bad foul...
Re: Saddling up Saturday
Not really a doom and gloom merchant.....However, the Saddlers are on a good run at the moment and we have not won in the league in 2017. We need to win if he starts with Madine and ALF on the bench I will not be happy and we will most likely lose with this scenario. Looks like Derik will go to right back if Thorpe is still injured it may mean a different system to get ALF into the team as Madine is head scratchingly undroppable. Otherwise it will be Trotter in Midfield please God no not Trotter anything but Trotter!!
I think we will win 2-1 but it will be close!

I have to say, it shows up the mindset of some of the people on here when there's hundreds of replies to discussions about Ken Anderson and Dean bloody Holdsworth (mainly supposition) and there's five replies to the actual, upcoming game thread....

We will win if we keep Oztumer quiet

Nah. That shows people care about the football club in the longer term.Andy Waller wrote:I have to say, it shows up the mindset of some of the people on here when there's hundreds of replies to discussions about Ken Anderson and Dean bloody Holdsworth (mainly supposition) and there's five replies to the actual, upcoming game thread....
Win lose or draw on Saturday and in a year, nobody will care or remember. But the ramifications of our ownership could affect the club for years to come if not longer.

This might be a huge dose of wishful thinking, but I think we might be galvanized tomorrow and with a new line up as a result of our full back issues, hammer Walsall 4-0

Have to divorce football from finance for a couple of hours at least today. This lot just has to intrude on players heads to some degree; let's just hope in a positive fighting way. As ever, COME ON YOU WHITES......

Re: Saddling up Saturday
Team line-up, as tweeted.
Alnwick
Beevers
Vela
Spearing
Madine
Derik
Trotter
A Taylor
Morais
Wheater
Le Fondre
I'd guess
Derik - Wheater - Beevers - Taylor
Spearing - Trotter
Morais - Vela - ALF
Madine
But it could be half a dozen alternatives.
Subs: Howard, Moxey, Solomon-Otabor, Long, Clayton, Thorpe, Wilkinson
