Derik at RB and Liam Trotter in the middle.
I change my prediction to 2-2. We'll concede today.
FFS.

Re: Saddling up Saturday
Is it interesting that Trotter got the nod over Thorpe, whom many have described as too defensive for home games?
Yes yes, Trotter's shit, but he theoretically offers more goal threat than Thorpe.
And not just for our opponents... but the point is, this feels like a shift away from "two defensive midfielders".

Let's be of good cheer. Kick off aproaches and Parky must see something in Trotter that few do. This might mean he could end up M.O.T.M....Any road,we're off. ...First meantion from micman is of Bury...surprise, then Price and Zico almost ohhhh Alf in right off.

"Almost a dream start for @A1F1E9 inside the opening 10 seconds as his volley on the turn is saved by Neil Etheridge."

Re: Saddling up Saturday
We push forth but they retaliate. We get a free for a foul on Beevers. Visitors in red and black...then mic man speculates on the set up and we play football. Morais gets an early mention, Trotter get a cross in and....a defender header lands in their keepers hands. Trotter again and they fxcking scort from forty yards....

Re: Saddling up Saturday
That fella with the O name wallops one from forty yards out and over Ben's head into the net. Fluke? well, it makes it 1-0 to them.

If it's anything like the game at theirs, you'll be hearing his name a lot. It's Oztumer (no H, my mistake) but we'd forgive you for calling him Oz.TANGODANCER wrote:That fella with the O name wallops one from forty yards out and over Ben's head into the net. Fluke? well, it makes it 1-0 to them.

Re: Saddling up Saturday
Iles says we're playing a back three (with Derik). Mind you, he says the wingbacks are Taylor and Henry, when according to the teamsheet Henry isn't even in the 18 - the other five loanees are.
EDIT he's changed Henry to Morais.

Re: Saddling up Saturday
Micman says it was a belter of a goal, Zico claims it was a fluke. Anyway, they have a chat then Etteridge whacks a free kick, Vela goes, Wheater, Spearing and Vela.....we pause for news of scores....then Morais crosses and we get a corner. And, Spearing and....and...Madine, Vela, Morais and....their keeper grabs it and sets them off. Trotter, Alf...and they clear. Vela, Trotter, Vela again, Dave, Trotter, and.....they step in and turn it round....but are offside.

Re: Saddling up Saturday
Mic lads reckong we've started well....okay, well, one down but....miclads have another chat then we get a free kick for a foul on Madine. Spearing then and......and.....it goes over the top. Crowd sound lively but that won't last the match out if we don't score. Come on lads, back in there and.....ref's calling players over for......? Taylor ...and Alf gets us another corner. Now then, in and....it's 1-1......

Re: Saddling up Saturday
A cracker header from Madine and.....here we go. Now the crowd can shout. Offside again against them and.....the Saddlers come at us, it falls to them but Beevers does well. Alf and Morais, ....Spearing Taylor and.....they clear but we get it back. Spearing again and....Alf is offside. Come on.....

Re: Saddling up Saturday
Iles says Madine "got a good connection" on a "great header" but "it took ages to creep in." #theyallcount

Re: Saddling up Saturday
Scores from Mars then.....some more.....and Bradford go one down. Now then, we're bossing things claims Zico. Madine needing some treatment as mic man calls Zico One-eyed Kelly. Madine hobbles off for a minute (hopefully) then....laughs and chat in the mic box then....the visitors sally at us. Throw them off Beevers and...Oz whatsit gets mentioned before we go forth again.....Ben grabs and clears and....Ben wallops again and Madine flick it to Morais. They get a free kick against Derik then....it gets to their keeper to clear. They come forth and dance around our area but Zico reckons not dangerous. Back they come from halfway, Edwards....then we get a foul against Derik and a free kick. And, Derik and.....Taylor now and....Spearing and...they part clear but we go back with Morais who....gets us a corner. Spearing now and.....and....ohhh, we score......2-1 us
